| I always pick up my girls when if I even see another dog, big or small. I am super protective of my babies and really don't mind explaining to other people that my babies are fragile and can be easily hurt. For that matter, I pick up my girls whenever a small child approaches. I just don't take chances. Shortly after Diva was breed to Tucker, his owner called crying to tell us that he was hurt. Apparently she was visiting her Aunt in Louisianna and the neighbor's German Shepard that had never seemed the least bit aggressive to Tucker, attacked him. Tucker was seriously injured and had to have his chest cavity repaired. Thankfully Tucker pulled through and is doing fine, but it was touch and go for a while. It's like reminding your children to put on a seat belt in the car, even if you've never had a car accident. You just don't take chances with the ones you love. |

| I'm not only afraid of big dogs, little ones can pack a punch too! When Lexie was really little we went into a Petsmart and a woman was walking out with her little yorkie. Lexie went up to say hello, and I didn't know any better not to let her and the yorkie snapped so fast at Lexie. I pulled her back in time so she didn't get bitten, but it definitely taught me a lesson. The lady just walked out like nothing happened. I was shocked!

| Better safe than sorry I recently went thru a such an horrible experience that I cannot warn people enough to make sure your yorkie doesn't come close to other big dog. My little dior was attacked by a bit pull in the middle of NYC midtown street and killed. The horror I feel is not something I can even put in words but please protect your little baby... they are so fragile! It only takes a min and they are gone... so please protect and stay away from any big dogs at all cost! Take it from a person who didn't know any better..... |

| Its not worth the risk even if their friendly. My best friend had the most gentle golden retreiver that had been with my yorkie many times. One day in the park they were running together after a ball and somehow they collided my precious little yorkie's ACL (knee) was torn compleletly and although she recovered it was horrible and could have been prevented. The size difference is just to great.

| It is not the chance I would like to take either.... My yorkie will be steered away from anything that is precieved a threat... Even if she feels like chewing the other dogs head off. lol... i also wanted to add that I have a issue with little kids wanting to grab and pick up my pup. I am so scared that she wil get hurt! my ffriend has a 6 yr old boy who always goes for my dog... It is very very scary to me. I tell them you can play with her BUT do not pick her up! |

| No matter what I pick Tink up now. So many have said...my dog/s ok....and then they will growl or bound up and near squash her. We have a new law that came in a couple of weeks ago, where all dogs have to be on leads on footpaths. But sadly not all do so.
