| I'm so upset I live in dog friendly apartment and all my neighbor love Momiji except this old lady across from my apartment. I have only seen her twice since I moved 8 month ago. She made nasty comments and I am just so upset. Momiji barks when I leave home but as soon as I close the door, she stops barking, maybe a little whine a bit but she will stop that soon as well. Anyhow this lonely miserable old lady (sorry, I am usually respectful to elder but not today with this person) said to my face "You should put muzzel on her". So I gave my opinion "would you say the same thing to a mother with loaud child?" She said I am not logilcal, dog and baby are different, so I told her she is my baby, then she said she hope I won't have a child. I think that is extremely rude comment. I know there are different opinions in the world and I have a feeling she thinks her opinion is the only correct one. On the record, I told her if Momiji was barking all day, I apologize and she said she doesn't. ewwww I wish she would just move but I know she won't until she dies. (you know what I mean...) |

| Did you find out the reason why that old lady doesn't like your baby, other than barking which she said your baby didn't bark whole day? Your baby is so cute, how could one not like your baby? I am curious to know the reason.

| I had the same trouble with the old lady nexyt door to me!! The day we moved in she came round to see if my dog was ''ok'' which at the time i thought was very strange .. when she left an i thought about it and i got upset and went round to see what she ment (in a nice way) she told me she was a dog lover and did not mean anything by it. Then the she started tellin me when to be walkin him and what i soulld be feeding him, then complaining about the dog when i was out sometimes crying for me (not all day) I did evetything i could to reasure her that my dogs was FINE and very much loved!!! Anyway one weekend and i left my car at my friends house on the friday night and just stayed in all weekend with my dogs, on the monday i walked my dog around to my mates to pick up the car, it was a really hot day and i needed to get shopping, to hot to leave my baby in the car to i took him home. and went shopping.. i was gone about 30mins if that. When i returned home the old lady was half way down the street greeting me from my car shaking saying i left my dog all weekend i was like no i have not!! I had to take her into my home and show her that my dog was ok (music on water out. toys etc) She left feeling very silly!! She started to phone up my landlady telling her about my dog and that it was running after her cats? I have a back yard (enclosed) its my dogs space i cant stop them running after cats in my own yard! She even started to go into where my landlady worked to tell her about everything.. i was under so much stress!! Thats when she started to post notes through my door, telling me that my Dog was crying when i was out everything she coulld think of she posted a note through my door! i was starting to not want to go out to work because of it, geting very upset about it and i could not understand why this woman was making it so hard for me when it was so clear i loved my dog to bits? maybe it was because i am 22 and she thinks i am to young to look after a dog i have no idea but it really upset me!! I was on my way home from work one day and i had a phone call from my partner tellin me not to get upset but the rspca have been round to see that the dog is ok! The rspca man come in took one look at his toys bed the clean house and back yard was and told us everything is ok and left he had not one problem with anything!! I was so upset i burst out crying i didnt know what to do i was sooo angry and upset that someone could have done that as i love my baby so much and he has the best in life, i would do anything for him! I knew it was her next door, i went stright to the police station and told them, i told them everything (really upset at this stage) and ask if they could do anything! they had to go around to her house and tell her to leave us alone! she was so mad i got another few nasty notes throught my door, even my landlady had to tell her to back off!! i was so upset after everything, but it has all gone silent at the moment and she has not done anything (finger crossed) I had a horrible time but i am so glad that htings are bk to normal now and my little dog is still as happy as ever hehe!! sorry about the rant just what u said brought it all back and gets me mad!!

She doesn't like dog. Well then she should move to the apartment that doesn't allow dog, IMO. I live in the apartment that allow dog, so I am not doing anything wrong. Only fault is that I haven't train her not to bark, but I am still working on that. I am usually very nice and considerate person but this comment was very rude and I just couldn't let it go. | |

| It's her, not you. Don't let her get to you. She just sounds like a Negative Nelly. -- Kill her with kindness, even if you have to bite your tongue. She is not worth getting upset about - she doesn't understand your love or that anyone could compare a skin baby & a dog to each other. Take a deep breath & smile the next time you see her.

| I feel for you!!!! I got an eviction letter for my 3 dogs from my condominium corporation a few months ago...They gave me 2 weeks to do it?? I am a real estate agent that work from home and rarely leaved the dogs for more then 4 hours. My neighbor right next door told me they rarely bark.. I still wonder who is the rude person that couldn't even come to see me first to let me know about it before complaining to the corporation? They sure don't bark much when I am home. And no warning from the corporation !!! Eviction right away!! No way I am giving my dog away !!! 2 of my dogs spend the winter at my Mother's place( my mom's is the best!!!). I SOLD my condo and I got a nice townhouse with a small back yard for my babies... we are moving at the end of May... Until then... the dogs are all back home... The funny part is that someone else on my floor just got a new dog that is barking constantly... I will give him some advice about the barking for him not to loose the dog.. but not now.. let's the neighbors enjoy the voice of the new puppy for a few more days... or weeks ... lol |

| Let that be a lesson to all you young squirts. Your faults will be multiplied by 100 as you get older. I should know. I'm there. She may be a lonely old lady and has to get her kicks somehow and you just happen to be her target. Good idea to "kill her with kindness." Just might be the answer. She might get to loving your furbaby so much that she would babysit her when you have to be gone. Never hurts to try.

| Next time she says something to you tell her "Actually, maybe someone should muzzle you!" Don't let her get to you!

| I agree. 2 wrong don't make right. What goes around comes around. But this is my very first time I stood up to someone. I usually bit my tongue and don't say anything but I was so insulted I had to tell her what I thought. Thank goodness I don't see her often!!!! |

You did nothing wrong! You are right, if she doesn't like dogs, better move somewhere else that doesn't allow dogs. That's her problem, not yours.
