| what can i do? guys, my little Abby is drivin me up the wallllll. She pees where she is supposed to but poops everywhere elseeeeeeeee. Behind the tv, under the dining room table, n under the bedssss. I dont let her run around the whole house, while im in the bathroom fixin something or gettin her food or watever ready, she slips outta my sight n i no she pooped cuz my mom starts yellin for me to clean it up lol. i heard there is some spray to put on the pads so she goes there? What is it called? The thing is that the pads i got her smell like "grass" or sumthing so she should no to go there. Another thingggg is that wen my aunt brings over her yorkie, who is two weeks older n double her size, Abby just goes insane. As soon as she sees him she starts growlin really bad n goes to bite himmmm. She doesnt really bite us but she attacks him. (At least i think its attacking cuz of the noises she makes) well she pulls on his ears n every body part imaginable. I even hear it wen she knocks him to the floor n he hits his head. I feel so bad for him cuz he kisses her as soon as he sees her. Why is this?? THen they both start goin at each other n im scared hes gonna hurt her. Neither of them cry or anything they just growl. Are they hurting each other or not? Wow i wrote a book sorry. Thanx in advance.... |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You have got to concentrate on the positive things. She pees where she is suppose to. That's great! Pee is so much harder to clean than the poop too. Joey always picked out of the way spots to do his business too. You can just pick up the poop and put it on a pee pad. I actually kept two pee pads out for Joey, one I put in an out of the way spot, was for poop. I first would put his poop on the pad, than after about an hour I would flush it. I don’t' know if Joey had difficulty pooping at first because he would always do a little jump afterwards and even when he started on the pad, it ended up "next" to the pad. I don't know if the sprays help that much, I thought they were just for urine training. Maybe someone else has advise on the social problem. I think the more they are around other dogs the better they are able to handle it. She may be just being protective of you.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Yeah, I read about some dogs eating poop, and there are several reasons for this, and one is that that they might have been scolded too harshly for pooping, and so they want to eat it to destroy the "evidence." Lol, I'm so glad Joey didn't have this problem. If she's really regular, you could just try taking her outside within 5 minutes after eating her meals, but this didn't work with Joey. I'm just so glad he's got the pee thing down.

| Many Yorkies will not poop where they have peed.....2 pads might be needed. Also you have to let her know that it is OK to poop on a pad in the house.........

| It took both mine longer to poo on the pad than pee. They get the pee right away, but poo takes a little longer. Not sure why. I do know that Baby Chloe likes a fresh pad to poo on. She doesnt like to have pee on her pad before she poos. Picky Picky!!

| By what you said, they are just playing. I think if they were really fighting, you would know. Their movements would be quicker and you will see teeth. One will wail and you can't mistake a wail for playing... Just saying... Girl dogs always seem to dominate boy dogs....he may be bigger, but he will let her get away with anything.........................because she is a girl.

YT Addict | As far as pooping on the pad goes, I had to line my entire room with pee pads. It was frustrating for me, to say the least. But then Teddy would have no where to go but on the pad. As he got more used to it, I slowly removed a pee pad until there was just a section left. As a result, in the middle of the night, he would get up and go to the pee pad to poop and pee. I was estatic. Shortly thereafter, I taught him how to go outside, and he now only makes a few accidents in the house. (which is my fault, because he always lets me know when he has to go out, I just don't pay attention in time)
