YT Addict | water bottle issues so odie is obsessed with water bottles! he used to play with them when he was a puppy, it was a great teething toy hehe but now its just insane!! even if i just opened the bottle and took a few swigs and then put the cap back on he goes absolutely nuts trying to get it. the whining and begging and barking is driving me and my dad especially up the wall. at first it was cute when i would be drinking from the bottle and he would be given me those big puppy dog eyes, like "mama pleeease give me that bottle!" lol but now, geesh i just dont know. what should i do?! i mean, we drink alot of water around here lol |

| I had the same problem but with popcorn. It almost killed me but the trainer instructed us to be stern and consistent. I had to tell him a firm "No" and then if the whining and begging continued I had to kennel him. It took more than one attempt before he stopped the behavior and like I said it was rough on me becuase I LOVE the little man so much, but it worked like a charm and now on the occasion I do give him a piece of popcorn there is no bad behavior attached

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I believe the above poster is correct on this, but Joey loves bottles too. I always have an empty one available for him to play with.

| My Alyssa is obsessed with plastic drinking bottles, too. She only wants them if they are empty. Alyssa had rather have a plastic bottle than any toy available. She will continually play with it and chew it until it is triangular. Sometimes she plays with it so much and chews on it so much that it fall into pieces. I have seen her play with a plastic bottle for 4 to 5 hours ...nonstop. She loves those things.

| Lol...Izzie is likes the water bottle too, if she could get the cap she would take that too. Its too funny because if I squeeze the bottle she starts to run around and comes back to the bottle and she will continue to run as long as I squeeze it...lol
