I had the same problem but with popcorn. It almost killed me but the trainer instructed us to be stern and consistent. I had to tell him a firm "No" and then if the whining and begging continued I had to kennel him. It took more than one attempt before he stopped the behavior and like I said it was rough on me becuase I LOVE the little man so much, but it worked like a charm and now on the occasion I do give him a piece of popcorn there is no bad behavior attached
