| Hi I Am New Here Today Hello, fellow Yorkie lovers. I Don't own a Yorkie but I borrow many as I am a professional groomer. I have loved and groomed many good and bad lil' guys. I jokingly say, they are all mine, I just let the owners keep them for me. haha. I hope I can offer suggestions on grooming and good products you might consider. Yorkies are often delicate and I think it is wise to have a professional for some of the grooming, if not all on a regular basis. I found this site today from a lovely lady whos' darling Yorkie I groomed today. I LOVE YORKIES |

| Removing Yorkie eye gunk. Wellll, when i see the dog i use a #40 blade and shave very carefully on the corners where the gunk is (Gunk being the professional word for eye boogers) I have heard that a product called Angel Eyes that is taken internally helps with Maltese eye stains. With my own dogs (Pardon, Miniature Schnauzers) I use my fingernail when I hug them often each day. Keeping the hair short by the eye helps. I don't know if I am allowed to mention products. I do not promote or sell any, just know what I have heard or shampoos, conditioners and antistatic spray I like. Am I allowed to say the product names? Some times thinning shears work nicely or small scissors with a ball tip. Yorkies can be wiggly. I also try to get the dogs' feet just off the grooming table. That settles them down. I know some have small treakeas, so the Groomers' Helper that hooks from above and to the grooming arm would not be advised. I gently hold the beard and say...." Staaaaaay honey, staaaay. BTW You're pics of your babies are soooooo cuuuuute! Last edited by tapiocagirl; 04-05-2008 at 04:30 PM. |

| welcome to YT. Oh, grooming -- I have about given up on ever going to someone I have to pay again. I'm sure it is hard to please everyone, but I have had the worst problems with people listening to me, as I have yorkies with long coats & I keep finding people who want to trim their faces, and places I don't want cut. Any tips for getting the word across to a groomer. Right now I;m doing everything myself - biggest problem, I need help with is the rear end. I have not bought any razors & not sure what I need & how to best trim this delicate area
