| I'm going to wait... Just thought i'd let you all know that I am going to hold off in getting a yorkie. I have put much thought into it and thinking solely for the puppy I think it would be in her best interest. I have 2 small children and from doing the research and the advice from you all on this board I think that it would not be so wise to get a yorkie and have small children. I am afraid that the one time I am not watching the yorkie like a hawk something will happen to her. Its only normal for a child to want to play with a puppy and I am afraid they will not understand how careful they will have to be with her. I do want to thank each and everyone of you for all your advice, help and discussions with me while I was a part of your board.. I have never ever met any other dog board as nice and helpful as you all and I thank you all for that. I hope everyone and their yorkie have a wonderful time together and maybe in the next 5 or so years lol i will see and talk to you all again. Thanks again!! Courtney |

| you know if you get a larger sized yorkie it wouldnt be as fragile as the smaller ones........ toby jumps down off the bed (pretty high) and he has no problems, he is a pretty tough little guy ( i think he will be about 7-8 lbs full grown) ....... OR........ are silky terriers like yorkies? because i know they run a little bigger in size and people get them confused with yorkies..... maybe that breed would be right???...... i cant imagine waiting years...lol..... you must be a patient person |

| Courtney, yorkiepower just said almost everything that I would've! Your decision makes me know that when the time is right ... you will make a great Yorkiemom!! We took months and studied and weighed all the pros & cons before we bought Toto! We made a "committment" to her and we received the "ultimate" compliment from our breeder who actually tried to discourage us from buying Toto because we travel so much! She told us we have given Toto a "wonderful home"!! Don't sound like much, but that was very BIG for us. We take her health, safety and well-being into consideration every time we make any decision ... even grocery shopping! That may sound ridiculous ... but we are as committed to her as we would be if we had adopted a "human" child! I believe you made a wise decision and look forward to hearing back from you when you do feel that the time is right! If a Yorkie is the pet you have your heart set on ... don't "settle" for anything else!

| Yorkiepower and Bettyeanne just gave you some great words of wisdom. You have done enough research and made a difficult yet responsible choice. I think you are a woman whom adores the breed but you are very wise in knowing that there will be a right time for you. Take the time to enjoy your babies, you only have those special years once.
