| 2 lbs not small enough My niece and I took Lulu and Zeus to a dog friendly mall over the weekend. A young woman around her 20s came up to us and asked how much Lulu weighed. I told her around 2 to 2 and a half pounds. To my surprise she said, "That still isn't small enough" and walked away. I turned to my niece and said, "She needs to buy a hamster". |

| Oh wow. The nerve of some people. Sadly, this type of ignorance is not uncommon. And you were right, she just might be better off with a hamster. |

| I totally agree. When I was searching for my Zeus, I wanted a bigger dog than Lulu because she is so tiny. I actually put a deposit down on another dog, but he stopped growing and was going to end up a tiny dog like Lulu. I decided to not adopt him and found my guy now who is a whopping 4.5 lbs. |

| Wow, that is insane! KaCee weighs 2.5 pounds now and I can't wait until she gains some more weight. I agree, get a hamster!

| What an idiot...my Pixie is 3lbs and she is tiny, too small in my opinion..but that's how god made her NOT her breeder ...this obsession with size is getting way over the top..I met a lady while out walking Pixie the other day..she was just getting in her car, she pointed at Pixie and said..'I have one of those'..sat in the front of the car was a teenage girl with a tiny puppy on her lap..i would say no more than a 1lb in weight..she told me that it was a Chihuahua crossed with a yorkie (chorkie) and that it was just 7 WEEKS old! and proudly announced..'she's a 'Teacup'... she also said they were just off to the pet store to buy this poor little mite a COLLAR!!

| I just got my little doll a couple of days ago. He's 4 y/o and weighs in at a whopping 2 lbs 10 oz! I certainly wouldn't want him any smaller! God made him perfect for me, but he also needs to be healthy (as he can be!). |

| Maybe the Yorkie breeders are going about it all wrong. Maybe they should breed to standard and the hampster breeders should breed for longer hair and a blue and tan coat! Last edited by my2boyz; 04-03-2008 at 04:01 AM. |
