2 lbs not small enough

I'll admit, I was very naive when the post was created in March - but I took the time to learn so I could provide the best possible life for my pup and had MelMel been a little more humane about the whole issue, she would have seen just how far my little friend and I had come.

I'm quite shocked at how mean and spiteful some people are on this forum. I don't think I'll ever understand what it is in the human spirit that makes them so bold online when they're nothing close to so bold in person.

I'll be encouraging potential buyers to come here and research breeders and the breeders "personalities" before ever buying another pup. I do really encourage people to watch what they say and do on the internet, because nothing is private and everything is traceable.

I'll be reading the loads of helpful information to be had on this forum, but I honestly don't think I'll be participating. It's not my style to hang out where so many vicious attacks are being slung about.

I wrote you a PM about my blog entry. I have to say that I would have said it to your face anyway. I live by the truth and stand by it so what can I say. I did say in the PM that calling you an idiot was not the best way to get my point across. However I do think that broadcasting to the world that having a itty bitty puppy is like having a new accessory was in my opinion very disturbing, hence all the hamster comments going around in this forum. I am not alone in thinking that this whole "tiny" "purse" dog thing has gone on long enough! As for your threat in your PM about exploiting me in some way I just want to let you know there is nothing to exploit. Yes I breed my male who is 3.5lbs but I breed him to larger females one of which happens to belong to this site and can contest to how gorgeous the pups were and the fact that they all were definately larger than their daddy and are definately not purse dogs! So again as for your worst I hope that wasn't it! Cheers!

Ughh I hate that! The other day my mom's boss was out of town so she told me to come by with Dino. One of the ladies that worked there goes to me "I have seen those dogs before, but I think your dog is fat because they are not supposed to be that big" He is only 5lbs btw. Then later she was like ohh then hes not a teacup yorkie her must be an XL yorkie. I didn't say anything out of respect but she really angered me!

MelMel - as for my worst, I would never want to buy a dog from a person who would rather jump to conclusions and call people idiots rather then getting the whole story and trying to educate them.

I've been an STD Patient Advocate for a number of years and can honestly say that sometimes offering a little kindness and education can go a long way.

I have learned enough to know that when someone sees my dog and asks if she is a tiny teacup - I tell them there is NO such thing and that she's just small. BUT she's 3 lbs now and 6 months old - so I'm hoping for at least another pound yet.

When you're conducting a business, even if it is selling quality puppies - I think it's important to watch what you say online because it can always come back haunt you.

However, as for your apology - it's obviously the best you can do so apology accepted.

I thought it would be fun to hang out with other Yorkie parents, but it seems the drama and backbiting is just as bad here as it is in a small office filled with women. I gave it a try but now I think I'll follow my instinct and bail while I can.

All I have read about these micro mini yorkies is that under 2lbs is unhealthy for any dog. People are not educated about the Yorkie Breed. Just overlook the comments that are made by the public who see your dog. They do not know what they are talking about.

My friends felt my puppies were to big for them. I tried to explain the health problems of puppies being to small and how I would be aware of this teacup craze, and I thought they should do more research. I had 4 pups..
Oscar is about 3-4 lbs now and Spirit is almost 4lbs and <BENTLEY is 10, not sure what happened but doing reasearch> Mom is 6lbs and Dad is 4lbs.
My puppies are spoiled and pampered, I am so very glad that they didn't buy Spirit they wouldn't have been happy, because the Dog they did buy.. I am not sure it is much over 2lbs... so they are happy and I am happy for them...
but this tiny teacup craze is quite frighten to me... I love breeding and and trying for perfection...but I may just quit... I willing to learn all there is, but some things I hear about just down right scary lately...

while you may not find the respect you need, i want to THANK YOU for educating some future yorkie owners of the dangers of advertising and owning a small yorkie. There will always be people who don't agree with the way you live your life, but all we can do is pray for them. because we know they aren't perfect, and they have made their share of mistakes in the past too. And that is why YT was created, to EDUCATE; not to DISCRIMINATE

For some one who has stated that they have done their research about me you dont listen do you? I DONT SELL YORKIES. I stud my male out to females. (which, if your listening now, means that other owners bring their female to me so that we mate the dogs together and then the dam's mother whelps the litter). I stated an obvious fact about your advertisement about the wee little one. You retracted by saying it was when you were uninformed about the breed in its whole, however, you decided that you would threaten me on a PM and then try and exploit who you believe me to be on this forum and that is why you got the reaction from me instead of a true apology. It's great that you do not want to create drama but I think you just have to continually stir the pot so as to try and get something out of it...isnt that the definition of drama. Oh well, yeah as for that apology as well ...for you... it was the best you were going get.

Sounds like she's done NO research at all.Sounds so dumb! 2lbs?That is TINY!!! My Cookie weighs 3 lbs and everyone tells me how small he is . I can't imagine him at 2 lbs !
