| I have a little 'baby-doll' face girl. When I first saw her, I just had to have her. The cute factor was off the charts. I won't comment on the breed standard but these little babies are irresistible!! Mine came from a breeder who doesn't breed for that look; sometimes you can just get that look anyway. I bought a full brother of hers 1 year later and he doesn't look like her at all. He's 6 pounds while she is 3 pounds, the face is different too. Maybe the other posters are right about the health issues in breeding for the baby-doll look but you can get one from a standard breeding sometimes. I love my little girl to death (her name is Heidi) and she has me wrapped around her paw. Here's a couple of pics. She's a mess but she's adorable anyway. |

I think the point some people are trying to get across is that the true babydoll face includes the apple head, which is incredibly unhealthy.

| I'm not here to voice my opinion about this topic at all. I have no idea what a babydoll face yorkie is supposed to look like. I do however think breeders should try and follow the standards. Regardless, I think all yorkies are beautiful. I was just wondering what an "apple headed" yorkie looks like?? Sorry guys but I had to ask because I'm really curious.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It seems like with some, their eyes seem farther apart too. Does that mean anything?

Thanks for showing me the pictures. I tend to think all furbabies are adorable but I have to admit that the links you sent are a little disturbing to me. The little girl's head is so odd looking. She looks like she would be in pain. It's like her skull is pushing through or something and the eyes look about ready to pop out. I probably sound nuts but she does look that way to me. I hope she is happy and healthy.

| O.K....here's a couple showing the round eyes and a profile. It's what I've always thought of by the term 'baby-doll' but maybe I've been wrong all this time. Now, what REALLY confuses me is term 'teddy-bear face' LOL. |

Your friend's little girl is really cute. It could be that picture but her head doesn't seem as much of a "apple head" to me. That other baby is definately differen't looking. I hope your friend's little girl continues to live a long healthy life. I hope the other girl is healthy too.

| She does have round eyes but I still think her muzzle is more of a medium-length...maybe a shorter medium-length. I like the length of muzzle she has...I don't like when they are overly short. She's a cute girl. When I hear teddy bear face I just always think of the haircuts groomers give them (like a puppy cut with a teddy bear face)
