Baby doll face yorkies??? What are some good breeders of baby doll face yorkies?? I was hoping you guys could refer me to a few GOOD reputable breeders.:) :D |
I'm sure my newb is showing but what's a babydoll yorkie? pardon my ignorance. |
One of the rules of the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America, CODE OF ETHICS http://ytca.org/ethics.html "shall not use terms as “teacup”, “tiny specialists”, doll faced, or similar terminology." So if you see those words on a website you can be sure that the yorkie your buying hasn't been health screened. For a list of ethical breeders see this list. http://www.ytca.org/breeder4.html What you're looking for is a yorkie with shorter muzzle, and just make sure you see the parents, don't trust pictures only. |
To me they all have baby doll faces. |

I looked at several different pups as we were looking for a shorter snout also. Keep in mind, shorter snouts come on larger yorkies too. My boy is 9 pounds and has a sweet little face! You might want to research rescue's or foster's in your area on petfinder.com! Good luck in your search for a baby! |

The Pastoral line our of Canada tends to have shorter muzzles...you might look into her or other breeders that have her lines. |

I've noticed that lots and lots of websites seem to use these terms I REALLY dislike the tiny specialists...makes me think sickly dogs for sure. I have to say however that its a broad statement to say you can be sure that the yorkie your buying hasn't been health screened. JMHO |

You're right, that was a too broad of statement. I just think that a breeder of Yorkies who doesn't go by the simplest ethical rules probably isn't going to be going to go by the more difficult rules such as health screening. I should have said, "So if you see those words on a website you can be pretty sure that the yorkie you're buying hasn't been health screened. |
Check this website..... Courtashyorkies.com |

Does it bother anyone else when breeders put Christian verses and symbols on their websites? It actually says "Christian-based business". It's like these bad breeders think they are going to seem ethical because they claim to be christians...when they are breeding tiny, unhealthy dogs for profit :thumbdown |
I have to say I bought my dog from Courtash yorkies and yes her prices can be ridiculous but not on all of her dogs. I purchased a healthy, beautiful dog from her that has the sweetest face and is 5 pounds. People stop me on the street all the time because my dog is adorable but most of all he is healthy and has the best personality. So maybe there are some things that aren't up to standard on her site but I know I will definitely buy another dog from her. I am very happy with my pup.:) |

You may be happy with her now, but a breeder who "specialises" in t-cup yorkies et al would NOT be someone who I purchased a puppy from. If you have managed to end up with a healthy, happy puppy then that's great. You're one of the lucky ones. |
