She is under the impression that she is dominate over you. you must assert yourself. Make her work for everything! (food, toys treats) make her sit or back off or something. And get her used to you taking things away from her. this goes for anything that she has. As the alpha you have the right to have anything you want from her! Abby did that to me 2 days ago. She had never done it with anything until I gave her a merricks flossie for the first time. I tried taking it away and she almost bit me and ran away with the thing and hid in a corner. I was like WTF!! LOL. I tracked her little furbutt down and took it away from her. She whined in front of me the WHOLE NIGHT!! So persistant that she actually did a roll over for me 5 times .... SHE NEVER DOES THAT.... so she got it back... GOOD LUCK TO YOU TONITE...

Max will "drop" things most of the time, when told to do so. I don't have a problem touching him or his food when he is eating. He'll let me put my fingers in his mouth, but will not let me brush his teeth, or use gauze.

He will not drink tap water, only filtered, (that's my boy), and he prefers me to feed him rather than his daddy lol.

He know exactly what "no bite", means, and reserves that for his daddy. Daddy is prone to the odd bite, but not his mummy, who once gave his little ear a nip with her teeth .

I'll give you some advice on teaching your kids not to bite or growl when you take something away or go near their food. From now on, every piece of food they get, comes from your hand. No yummy treats yet. Just dog food. Then you teach them that you can take anything back out of their mouths and you do not allow them to so much as growl at you.

Once they learn that, let them eat from their dish, give them the sit command, and do not allow them to eat until you say, "OK". Every so often, as they are eating from their dish, reach in and put something in their dish while they are eating. If they growl, go back to hand feeding.

Once you're back to being able to take things out of their mouth, try the food dish again.

It will take time, but it can be done.

I've done this since my girls (9 years & 12 years) were puppies.

To this day, I can reach in their food dishes and they don't so much as growl.
A piece of food can fall on the floor next to their dish and I can pick it up and hand it to them.

It was an important lesson as I knew the day would come that I would have grandchildren and I didn't want to risk my grand-babies getting bitten.

None of girls ever tried to bite me but when Snoot was a baby still he tried biting me over a bone. I was only 14 years old at the time and he scared me so bad. I can't remember what my mother did to correct him but he never did it again. He's now going to be 13 years old this month and I can grab anything from him. I hope your little girl stops this. She's so darn cute and I know that makes it even harder to correct them.

I agree, that is soo cute.

For me, when I hold Squeekie and she's being protective or grouchy she would growl at Wookie but ends up biting me on the cheek or arm or where ever I was holding her during her mood swings. Of course it hurted so I would yell then she would give me that puppy dog eyes and all was forgiven.

I'm sorry so many of us are not taking this serious. I am dredfully afraid for you, you are truly in immediate danger from this little menace. I hate to tell you, but I only see one way to assure your safety. It will be very hard on both of us, but I think you should send her to boot camp at my house. I will whip her right into shape as fast as possible. I will return her to you as soon as I feel she will not be a health hazard to you any longer. It may take awhile, so I will send you progress reports and pictures. I know you appreciate the effort I am making on your behalf , but that is what we here on YT do for each other.

My mom's dog Teddie is like this...lol I mean it's really not funny, but it's my dads fault. When they were still together he would egg her on and mess with her while she was eating... Now she's like that with everything. You DO NOT mess with Teddie when she's eating, sleeping, or chewing on a bone, or has one of her favorite toys. Except me. She growls at me once and point my finger and say NO, BAD GIRL...and that's it...she quits.

None of mine have ever been food aggressive, but I am constantly reaching in and around their bowl to do whatever I want. They'll turn their heads away with a treat if they think I'm trying to take it...but just a firm NO usually gets them to drop it. Even the girls I got as adults are pretty good about everything. Luckily I got sweet ones...
