| update thank you EVERYONE for all of your prayers. the vet called about a half hour ago and said everything went well. We get to go and pick them up in a few hours. I've had anxiety all day.... this morning, I got the girls travel bag out, and the girls got so excited that they were going out for an outing, that they both jumped in, wagging their tails with excitement. Their innocence broke my heart....... And then, to make matters worse, the vet took in Jenna first, so poor Jaya had to sit there scared by herself. Jaya is much more sensitive... and she is extremely terrified of the vet already. My poor babies. My husband wants to go pick them up right now... (two hours early). Both girls are awake but drowsy. I'm going to call the vet and see what he says... thank you everyone for all of your support. I'm sure I will be online all night asking questions about their post-op recovery |

Just got home... the girls are sitting here on the sofa with me with pained expressions. They look so pitiful with their cones. Jaya is doing worse right now because she went second... she is groaning with each breath. And I think she may have just had a nightmare or the pain meds are wearing off (?) because she just cried out and made a sound I have never heard before... and her eyes began to water. Is she crying? Just makes me want to start to cry again too. I just can't bear to see them like this. When we went to the vet I could hear Jenna crying in the back... and the secretary said she had been calling out for a long time. I need to buck up and be strong for them... i'm sure it wont help them to sense my vibe, and they need to feel secure and safe. This is really hard. PM me if anyone wants to chat in the chatroom.. I'll be kickin around | |

| the girls are back!! They are both so resilient So we stayed up most of the night checking up on them and just making sure the blankets were secure around them to help stop their shaking. Once they got comfy they stopped moaning and crying and just slept. At one point, Jenna jumped out of bed and started wagging her tail and was like "lets play lets play, i want kisses i want kisses".... it was so wonderful. I hadnt realized how much I missed them.... Jaya had her surgery second - so later in the day, and she was incapable of even standing yesterday. The night was very difficult for her. This morning, after they had their breakfast and their meds, both of them were up and running around. I made them go back into their xpen because I didnt want them to overdo it...lets just say they werent happy llol I have them with me on the sofa in their sleepy blanket ..they're sleeping soundly. And I feel a lot better too |

This is great news! You mentioned that they were wearing the cones; I know lots of people have been using the onesies after this surgery. It's a one-piece baby garment, I didn't hear about it till later, but it will keep them from licking their incision. I don't know since dewclaws were removed on Jenna, if it would work, but I thought you might be interested. It makes a cute picture anyway.
