| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | She stated she is getting her Biewer in 9 months. Sounds like she hasn't found a breeder that will sell to her knowing from the get-go she will not be breeding but mixing the Biewer into other lines. We do not need any Biewer-poo or Biewertese. I think this forum told her that. |

| I just think the OP's way of thinking is seriously flawed! I am also not quite sure what the OP wants to accomplish here on YT. She has already stepped on many toes and I honestly don't see her getting a lot of support here. I think when anyone comes to a site like this they must first take into consideration the way others feel. We have quite a few Biewer breeders on YT that will obvioulsy strongly disagree with mixing this breed. As it is they are already striving to get them recognized by AKC. Then you have those that breed Yorkshire Terriers. Like the Biewer breeders most of the Yorkie breeders are striving to stay true to the breed. Both breeders want to keep to the written standard or as close as possibe. So when the OP comes on and talks about throwing a monkey wrench in the whole deal tempers are going rise. So she shouldn't be shocked .Don't get me wrong. I think all mixes deserve to be loved. We have quite a few members that own mixes that are simply adorable! however, those members didn't come on YT wanting to mix AB with C to get D. Hope I didn't step on any toes but this is my opinion.

| rescue shelters and euthanizing unwanted dogs is a tragedy.. but, even breeders of only purebreed dogs should stop breeding if they want to use that argument.... go to the pound right now and save a dog... the fact is, there are a lot of pure breed dogs that get abandoned also. not just the mutts or mixes... big dogs, especially are vuilnerable to this.. most people these days want small dogs.. companion dogs.. but, there are just a lot of people who have dogs that should not have dogs at all.. so sad.. choosing the right homes is the most important thing.. a puppy that costs 1000 or 2000 deserves a fenced in area and a doggy door and a companion canine.. those who cannot afford an expensive dog should go the pound and get one . those who can afford the price should be willing to put out morer money to provide them with a dog friendly home.. selling puppies in pairs is the best feeling. i feel like they will be happier to grow up with a littermate.. | it's a shame that people are already going to ruin the biewer breed. I know so many breeders striving for excellence in their lines.. why someone would want to screw that up is beyond me.. Just my opinion.

| You quoted me and you made yourself out to be the next Mother Theresa because you want to sell your dog in pairs. With all do respect "you have got to be smoking something." A reputable breeder is breeding for the better of the breed. Again, I'll ask what are you breeding for? Let me answer. Because in your own words "people want the designer dog and you have a waiting list." It's all about money and how much you can make while the market for these dogs is hot. You mention unwanted dogs but do you realize that with a mix breed there is NO ASSURANCE as to what this pup will look like as an adult. At least with a pure bred you have a pretty fair chance that the pup you bought will look like you think it will based on what an adult Yorkie, or Golden or whatever breed you are buying. Then you have your mixed breed who was walking down the street with their owner and you have someone see it and ask what breed it is and that person is told "Oh it's a mix of Maltese and Yorkie - they call them Morkies" Now that person goes home and decides "hey that's what I want." They go and they buy that pup that they think will look JUST like the one they fell in love with. That pup grows up to look totally different then the one they saw and like it or not SOME people WILL turn that dog in because it was not what they expected AND THAT MAKES PEOPLE LIKE YOU IRRIESPONSIBLE BREEDERS. |

| how is temperament judged ????? isnt it environmental?? having to do with how they are raised?? socializing, loving, grooming.. no matter what they look like , they will be cute.. i have a female yorkipoo 5 months old that is all black with a few white spots silky straight hair, and her brother looks like a grizzly bear. there is quite a difference.. my 50/50 yorkipoo looks like a little black sheep her puppies are 75% yorkie and are much cuter |

| Let me entertain your plan for a minute. You a breeder want to breed designer dogs. I'm told there is a math eqastion to get the right look out of the two. Going with this assumption, as a new breeder what makes you experienced enough to do this and do it correctly? And, what happens if you cannot get that look that those want? What will happen to those puppies? I really think that this whole conversation is going no where and I'm not even going to post any further about it - I hope administration closes this thread. IT'S RIDICULOUS. A NEW BREEDER LOOKING TO BREED DESIGNER DOGS. MONEY MONEY MONEY. |
