Jackson has started the same thing! He just turned 7 months a few days ago, and for about the past 2 weeks, he has been whining and barking like crazy! I have no idea what is going on!

I am a big chicken at night anyway- so it does not help when Phebe starts barking. Abby is not nearly as bad, but Phebe will start and sometimes Abby will join in , but if our Weimaraner, Snook, is inside he always joins in and he is LOUD!

LOL!!! One of my Shelties will wake up and bark for no apparent reason. Usually just one or two barks, and then he'd settled back in. We thought he was just crazy or dreaming or something...

Then last year I was in an accident and had to spend several months in bed (actually "on couch") and off my feet. I was set up next to a window so I could have something other than the TV to stare at. I began to notice that when Dempsey would bark randomly like that, there was something outside that that only he could hear. I'd look out and see deer in the back yard or a squirrel on the deck.

Or perhaps it was a "frog pooting somewhere" and he just wanted us to know! Certainly different from the fit he throws when there is a human in his yard!

Once my two found their bark, They havent shut it off lol
