| Hey, there is nothing that can be done to her coat, -That she won't still be as "cute as a bug in a rug" as the old saying goes! She is just a doll! I'd be mad, too- esp. since you told them you were growing coat out! If Banjo ever goes to a grommer- I want to stay and watch- will they let you do that????

| Well it was JUST long enough to keep a little bit of it out of her eyes in a clip or band, and she didn't SHAVE her head just trimmed it and the area around her eyes...uh its going to take 6 months probably to get that area back...don't even get me started on her nose I still love her and its just such a shock. She doesn't even look like the same dog. I just keep telling myself that she is OK and is beautiful and hair grows.

| My little Shadow Donating YT Member | Geeeeezzzzzzzzzz! My daughter and I have the same problem. The groomer is a dear friend, but Always shaves the Nose. It makes them look like they have a moustache I usually take them and my daughter will remind me "tell her not to shave the Nose"! Of course they are cute no matter what, but the teddy face look is sooooooo sweet and cuddly. Also, I just recently made a Big decision for me anyway to have her shave Bella's ears to see if the right one would stand. Top not gone! I hated that I had requested the ears shaved then. She had so much hair on the head at that time. Gone! So Frustrating. I want to learn to groom!!

| last time belle went to the groomer i told them not to cut her bangs cuz we were growing them out... they actually SHAVED her bangs like "eyebrows" and shaved the bridge of her nose... I WAS SOOOOOO UPSET! so now i'm going to learn how to do it myself... i'm never truly happy with what the groomers do...

| Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Want me to go slap her...I hate that nonsense..that is why I am learning to groom myself. I dont' like it when they cut the hair between the eyes..it takes long to grow back and tends to poke them in the eye as it grows in. I am also afraid of them cutting there in case they slip...not sure about anyone elses dog but Zoey is ornery. I can see an eye getting poked.

| always ask other yorkie owners for recommendations. Also this is why petsmart has you sign a paper stating what you asked for

| Awww I would be upset too, of course it goes without saying that she is cute no matter how her hair is cut but what an upset anyway. I have never even ventured bring my girls to a groomer, after reading so many stories about things like this on here i'm not taking the chance. If someone is going to mess it up it will be me.

| Girl I feel you I took both Sophie and Rambo to get groomed yesterday. I said specifically don't cut the top of their hair. Of course I get there and the top is cut . To make matters worse when I get home took off Sophie harness she ran upstairs next thing DH is yelling at me "WHAT HAPPENED TO SOPHIE SHE'S BLEEDING" I'm like what do you mean she's bleeding. As I reached top of stairs sure enough DH white shirt is full of blood marks all over. I start to freak. I thought maybe she had stepped on a piece of glass outside. After further inspection the groomer had cut one of her nails too short and it had started to bleed. Uggg just want to strangle them sometimes

| Murfee has only been to the groomers once in 4 years...when he was about 6 months old. I am not a professional and I know I don't do a great job but I do a whole lot better than the "professional" I took him to. I think your baby still looks adorable!!

| Jambo had the same schnauzer looking cut before too! My mom had taken her to a groomer and she told them no hair cut, just wash and nails clipped. I went to pick him up and I was shocked to see the hair on his head cut. I wanted to grow his hair out so I cut top knot it so he wouldn't have the hair in his eyes. When I asked why she had done it when she was given simple instructions, she gave me this mumbo jumbo about how she was trying to even his hair out and she was not charging me for brushing his teeth which I did not ask for. The ugly cut is finally growing out but it still pisses me off when I see short hair falling into his eyes. Last edited by Mere_de_Jambo; 03-07-2008 at 12:33 PM. Reason: fix |
