 Oh I'd have been SOOOOO MAD!!!! You must have very good control over your temper cause I think I'd have took my boy, put him in the house, grabbed a pair of sizzors and came out the door and held her rearend down and cut HER hair off!!! WHAT in the WOLRD makes someone think they have the right o DO something like that to someone else dog???!!! Your lil fella is still a handsome lil guy though. Don't know how long it'll take to grow back out but I surely wouldn't let her be alone with any of your furkids ever again. |
she will make a criminal out of me this is why I can never own a gun because of insensitive so-called friends like her... and the nerve she's got to say "it's just hair"? it could even be just nails, if it's not hers, she has no right to touch 'em! |
tucker I agree with the others that she sounds jealous and especially with her two misses in her own pets.you guys were freakin friends she knew you were growing his coat.and tell me one mat in an over night stay warrants a full shave down.H*** F*** NO!!! I agree with myfairlacy you should see if there is some recourse as lots of people don't want to buy if they cannot see the parents in full coat.and the time/money she has cost you in showing tucker.I am so mad for you also.she is a b**** and no amount of apologizing would work for me I mean how can you ever trust her again. cut your losses you don't need her:thumbdown |

I would have been furious as well. Most of my dogs are in a full coat, it takes a long time to grow out a full coat and if someone just chopped all the hair off without even asking me I would be outraged!! Gosh he doesn't even look like the same dog. He is still so adorable but what a difference!! |
I would have been very mad also. I am sorry it happened |
Oh heeeeelllllll noo! I wouldve been PISSED!! She had no right to do that w/o asking your permission 1st! My stepdad once cut my DaisyBear's topknot off, because he said ponytails on dogs is stupid, I didnt talk to him for months! I will try to find a pic of that mess if I can find it. :thumbdown |

And then, to make things worse - she thinks she's done NOTHING wrong???!!! Yes, it will grow back; yes, he is still cute - but that's not the point. The point is, she had absolutely no business assuming she had the right to change the appearance of YOUR dog. Who does that? You are smart to cut all ties with this person - bc she doesn't sound like a trustworthy person, nor does she deserve to be part of your life. I'm sorry you had to go through this. :( Do you want me to hunt this wack-job down with my Wahl-clippers and do a number on her? :D |
OMG! Just read your post. Bad Lady Bad!!! Tucker is still so adorable though. Now ya got me scared. I've had the same grommer for 12 years for my shih-tzu's. I always had their hair short. But I don't want Romeo's short. He's not a show dog but I just can't let his tips go. I just want his nails and feet and ears and butt done. Guess I'll have to stand right there and watch. I love my groomer but he has always cut my dogs hair one way. |
1 Attachment(s) I would have been MORE than Pissed!! the girl is thankful YOU WERE her friend, as i'd say she was NO friend to you!! I mean i can hold a grudge and have a real temper, but if i were unhappy with a person,, Never take it out on their dog!! which is what it sounds like she did!! I'd say try to rise above it,, know his hair will grow back even better and more beautiful,, and You've learned what kind of "friend" she really is,,AAAAARGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! just unreal anyone would do such a thing!!! UNTHINKABLE!!! but,, think CALM,, tell him what a CutiePie he is adn know KARMA does exist!! She'll get hers!! ;) of course i trimmed our Daisy down myself yesterday,, her hair is like cotton candy!!! matts at a breeze it seems,, but her adult coat seems good,, so,, heres hoping this will be her last short puppy cut,, but at least I did it to her, and on purpose! Wow:mad: This situation gets more unbelievable by the minute. She had no remorse at all?????? Just utterly crazy! I think most of us would agree, it is NOT just hair, not when you're trying to grow it out for show! And even for those who do feel "it's just hair", it's YOUR dog's hair, so no matter how you put it, SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO CUT IT. But yes, it's done, you've given her a piece of your mind, now all you can do is wait for it to grow back. Maybe when Brooklyn has these puppies (today we hope:p ), that will take your mind off of it and surely put a smile back on your face. ((((Hugs to you)))) |
Hahahaha...you guys made me laugh when I got up this morning. I just had the picture in my head of running at her with scissors and cutting a huge chunk off her hair. That's great...:D Thanks for making me feel better, because I'm still really upset this morning...she really did cost me money Michelle. I was going to show him...:( And he\'s almost 8 months old now, so any chance of him being shown is gone...because I can never grow his hair back in time...:( If I had the energy right now, I probably would sue her or something...but I don\'t even know if it\'s worth it. At least he\'s ok, if she would\'ve hurt him she\'d be dead right now... |
I agree that it was an unconscionable thing for your friend to to. But.... I am 50 plus years old. There was a time in my life when anger almost destroyed me. Therefore, I am very conscious of long term anger. If you choose to not remain friends with this lady, then so be it, but find a way to dispense your anger. My furbabies are the ones that keep me grounded when things get tough. Let them be your focus during this rough period in your life. You said that one of your furbabies is going to have little ones. That will be such an exciting time! You won\'t have time to think about anything else.:D :yorkiesar |
