I CANNOT believe this...I am fuming...

Last night I took Tucker over to my friends house, who's a groomer, so she could see him. She has 2 little Yorkies herself, and they immediately started playing with him and he seemed like he was having a really good time. I had to get up early this morning for work, and I have Brooke (who's about to pop open with these pups) to take with me and watch. So she asked if he could stay overnight and play. We've done this a few times with each others dogs for playdates, and everything has always been good, so I trusted her and said fine. I called to check on him 3 times today, and everythign was going well...I got home late and asked her if she could drop him off at my house on her way to dinner.

Well, she just brought him back...and to my horror, he is freakin cut...he has NO HAIR. When I got him he was working on his full coat, his GORGEOUS full coat...he's on my avatar. Now, his face is short and his body hair pretty much DOESN'T exist. She said, and I quote, "I was brushing him and I felt a matt...he didn't like it when I tried to brush him, so I decided to just make him feel better and cut it all off." I didn't say anything to her, just said, "thanks, have a good night," and I shut the door in her face. I CANNOT FREAKIN BELIEVE THIS! She had NO right to cut my dogs hair!!! His beautiful beautiful hair!! OMG it's going to take forever to grow back...I'm fuming right now...I'm so mad.....:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

OMGod! The nerve of her!!! If that were me.......I would never speak to her again! OMG!!!

I am so pissed along with you!! That is just WRONG!! I am suprised you could hold in your anger!! What the heck was she thinking???? Maybe she was jealous of his beautiful coat??? WTH???

Oh wow, I would have been highly pissed too..she had NO right cutting him, and I think I would cross her off my "friends list"..does her dog have long hair? If so, ask if you can keep them all night and then do the same thing...
I just had my 5 year olds hair all cut off last weekend, it's like a chihuahuas hair now, so, guess they can grow back together.

WTH?!?!? That is totally WRONG!!! You should have told her off!

Here are some pics of him now...he's still cute, but HOLY CRAP...I mean COME ON they're going to get little tangles when they have longer hair...I have to brush them a couple times a day at least, but you DON'T FREAKIN CUT IT!!!! :thumbdown I don't even know what to say...I think I was just in shock, I couldn't even speak to her...:mad:

She had NO right to cute your baby's hair. OF course it will grow back but SHE HAD NO RIGHT! I am not sure how good of a friend she is, but I have a feeling it would be a long time until I would be able to speak to her.
I would definately call her and let her know how disappointed you are in her.

He is still gorgeous of course...but he looks a lil ticked off too!! :) She really had no right..id call her up and tell her she was wrong..and that you are very upset..

I would be angry too. No one has the right to do anything to your baby without your permission. But, dang, he sure is cute. That little face just makes me smile.

Omg... Tucker is still adorable! I'm still mad too! Atleast, you know all his puppy hair is gone now. Time to start new and fresh with adult hair.

Just wanted to add that he looks adorable in the new pics (though that in no way makes it right)

Since she's a groomer, she knows how to get knots out with the slicker, besides, she did not ask your permission to even brush him, but what she did to your dog is totally unconscionable! This sounds ever bit an act of jelously. I'd be parting ways with that gal and let her know just how you feel.

I totally agree that it was done out of jealousy...since she is a groomer and knows that small matts do not need to be cut out...what a tard...

That's okay, shave them down like a chihuahua, that's what my oldest one looks like now..:( but, he's still adorable hon, but, i still would be pissed..if you wanted him cut, that was something you would have done yourself

At first I read your story wrong, then I re-read it and OMG she cut his hair w/o you even telling her too? I would be beyond pist! Alls she had the right to do was tell you if there part of his hair was tangled, you don't go and cut someone elses dogs hair!

But Tuckers is still a cutie, that's what's most important ;)

I would act like you are over it and everything is fine and let her dogs come over in a couple of weeks and shave them down bald!!

Ok... maybe I wouldn't because dogs are affected by haircuts if they don't feel "pretty" but I would want to.

My daughter was visiting a friend one time and she had tangles in the morning and the lady....NOT a beautician.... bobbed her hair (which was about mid back). I cried for over a month! I never spoke to the lady again... but I wasn't near as nice as you... I screamed... saw red (literally) and almost passed out! I felt if I didn't leave I might harm her!

He's still cute is right!! Really, I would be furious, and I'm usually pretty forgiving with friends. It's like she thinks she has a better idea of what your dog should look like then you do. If you think the friendship is worth saving, confront her and tell her how you feel. She should have asked you before she cut his hair. Unless she has an absolutely brilliant answer, I would hesitate to leave my puppy with her again, or even associate with her again. Maybe next she'll think he should be getting a different food or something. This is someone who will always try to cross the boundaries with you, and you have to let her know it NOT acceptable. So sorry this happened, but he really is a cutey either way.

I suppose since she is your friend she thought it would be okay?????? But still..............and you didn't say anything about it to her?????? Maybe that was a good idea at the time (until you cooled off and got over the initial shock)....but are you going to speak to her about it or just let it slide. It's just hair....and it will grow back.....but still, like you said, you were in the process of growing his full coat; didn't she know that?????...........That was really stupid of her to do that; was she not thinking????? I would've freaked out.

She should be told about the difference in puppy cuts and show dogs with long hair! Tucker is adorable with a puppy cut but she had no right whatsoever to cut his hair without your permission...if he had been a show dog you could take her to court and make her pay for cutting his hair, as that hair could help him win dog shows. I am surprised that she being a groomer and owner of 2 Yorkies did not know that.

I'm sure she thinks she did you a favor, so she needs to be told that she did not.

omg that is just wrong and yes i would be pissed i dont think i could have held back i would have went off on her.she had no right to cut his hair!!!!!he still is a cutie pie no matter what:)
