| belly band question i use go fetch belly bands and they are great. very cute and functional. i use always pads in them. it's really difficult for me to see if he marked in them. it's probaly just a few drips if he leg lifts. are there any pads that make it easy to see urine spots??? i don't want him wearing a dirty pad and risk a yeast infection.

You could put a piece of plain dark colored fabric over the pad and when he goes you would be able to see that it was wet. Just a suggestion. My boys have their belly bands on all day and I have never had any problems with yeast, rash or irritation. If you have a very absorbent pad (I use Poise) it wicks the moisture away pretty well.

I also use the Poise pads in Spike's belly bands. He doesn't mark, he actually pees in them and we've never had a problem. Naturally I check to make sure they are dry and change them if they aren't but if you're just dealing with marking I wouldn't think you would have a problem. edit to add- what a great mommy you are to even think about this!

| Smokey wears bellybands.....we use serenity pads...they hold more so you only have to change at the most twice a day......right now we are fine most of the time...but there are days when i have to change him twice.....he shows me because he starts licking under it and biting at the edges.....Smart boy.......we tried Poise pads....but he leaked through them in just 3 or 4 hours.......good luck with "little man"

What size do you use in the Poise? One pad can last all day without leaking here. We use the ones that are 72 in a package.

| It is a strip of fabric with velcro on the ends that you attach a pad to to absorb urine from males who tend to mark in the home. Here are a couple of pictures of ones I have made so you can get an idea.

| I can always tell with Alphy because there will be a couple yellow dots. Most times he pees in them though when I'm gone to work. I try not to keep one when I am home because I worry about infection, but I will put one on him if I get busy around the house and it's been a little while since we've been out. I picked up a trick from some YT'ers and bought baby wipes and wipe him off with one every time I take it off and sometimes when we come in from our walk if he's stinky.
