My boys have their belly bands on all day and I have never had any problems with yeast, rash or irritation. If you have a very absorbent pad (I use Poise) it wicks the moisture away pretty well.

I also use the Poise pads in Spike's belly bands. He doesn't mark, he actually pees in them and we've never had a problem. Naturally I check to make sure they are dry and change them if they aren't but if you're just dealing with marking I wouldn't think you would have a problem.
