| I take Gus everywhere with me. I was told something at Walmart once but talked to the manager and he said it was fine as long as I kept him in his bag. I hardly ever leave Gus at home alone. He is such a mommy's boy that we are never really seperated. He follows me everywhere. I try and get some privacy when in the bathroom or taking a shower. But when I open the door he's right there waiting for me. We were at my neices first birthday party a week ago,,, Gus was in his doggy bag on my lap. A woman came up to me because whe wanted to know why I was carrying the bag with me where ever I went. When she saw that it was Gus she said to me,,, well that poor little guy, He must be miserable stuck in that bag. I just looked at her and before I can say anything my daughter and mother in law told her "This little guy would be miserable at home being seperated for his mommy for too long of time. And to prove it,,, my daughter got the bag and held it in her lap while I steped away to use the restroom and to grab a soda. And when I returned the lady told me "boy I guess he really doesn't mind being in there,, as long as he get to be with his mommy becasue the moment you walked away he got up and started to whimper."

| My city is super dog un-friendly so the only place I can really take Bailey with me is the pet store(s). I tried taking him in to Home Depot with me (because of all the stories I've heard on here about them being dog friendly) and I was yelled at to leave the store with 'that dog!' So I'm guessing the Home Depot being dog friendly just depends on where you're located. There isn't even a dog park anywhere near me |

| Craft stores have been especially pet friendly, I love it especially since I am in there several times a week. Rite Aid has allowed me to take them in a cart. Blockbuster, Home depot. I take my kids to school with both Chloe and Tink piled in their car seat up front with me, I get some kinda wierd looks I take Chloe to work with me every Sunday. |

| I take mine everywhere with me. I love the enclosed stroller now that I have three. Nordstroms loves dogs as do most of the stores in the mall. I have several single dog carriers and one two dog carrier. Chai gets carsick so I sometimes take Hefner and she stays home with Billie and Jet. I would say San Diego is fairly dog friendly and because the weather is so good for most of the year, it is pretty easy to find outdoor seating at most restaurants too. |

| I take mine to any place that doesn't have a no dogs sign, including Barnes and Noble, Books A Million, Walgreens, Pet Stores. I haven't tried Target, it's good to know their rule. However, sometimes if you ask, that brings it to mind and they say no. The only place I do not take them is where food is bought or served. |

I love it. It is so roomy with plenty of air vents. I had purchased a different one from Petsmart, but it's junk compared to the one I got from Petedge. Sorry, I didn't see your other post. I have Instant Email Notification checked on my options, but they don't seem to get to my mailbox, lately. If anybody knows why, holler at me. May have to holler really loud, since I'm not getting any notifications.

| I take Carl to the pet stores of course. Pike Nurseries (plants and things) told me it was ok to bring my dogs including my rottweiler. I also have taken my rottweiler to starbucks and sat on the patio and had no problem. I see many dogs outside at starbucks here. I just didn't try to go inside with him. I don't think it's a company rule but more of a health department regulation. |

| Back in CT I used to take Rika everywhere, especially when she was littler. Now she can't go anywhere with me. The only place we really go is Wal Mart and they don't allow dogs there. I tried to take her to Wal Mart once and got kicked out. I'd love to stop shopping there, but then we'd have nowhere else to shop. lol Plus, their prices are really good. Today we're taking the dogs to the beach though, and anytime it's a short car ride where we won't be getting out of the car Rika and Cailee come. We went to a concert last night that was outside in a park, but dogs were not allowed. I don't get it...I wish we could take them everywhere. Rex - I know how it feels for them to get heavy. That's why I like the idea of the front-style carrier or a stroller.

| My next door neighbor works at Menard's. I don't know if you guys have those, but its just like Home Depot & Loews. They were specificially told that there are no dogs allowed, but NOT to say anything if anyone has their dog with them and are buying a lot of stuff. I guess that makes sense becuase they want to get their money before they tell you to get the hell out. This older woman in my neighborhood rides around on a motorized cart and brings her Yorkie into the grocery store. She just puts the dog at the bottom of the cart and zips around the store. No one says a word. There are a couple dog friendly bars in Chicago where you can actually bring your dog inside. Also, anywhere that has a patio is fair game to me. Stewie has been on the patio of many restaurants and cafes. I have a carrier from PetEdge that I absolutely love. Its white & maroon and Stewie fits in there really well.

| You all are sooo lucky. We live in a small town (small enough that we don't even have a Walmart) and we can't take ours anywhere!!! The closest Petco & Petsmart are about 2 hours away. My little girl gets to go to school and swimming lessons (they are not too wild about that but I don't care I hold her the whole time I'm there with the kids so they can't complain) and that is it for public places.

| Thanks for your input, everyone! I guess not everyone loves our little ones as much as we do. .There are a few dog parks in my area. I may try a couple of those when the weather gets cooler. Here in Florida, everyone heads for airconditioning this time of year! ![]() Keep posting ideas....we can all benefit from knowing where our little ones are welcome and where they are not.

| We have taken our Scotty puppies to Petsmart. I've seen dogs at our local mall in Columbus, as well as a chichi boutique area in downtown Columbus called the Short North. I wouldn't mind being kicked out with Roxy, I guess I would take my chances to see where she can and can't go. Thank goodness she's almost done with her shots! I've been waiting for the go-ahead from our vet. |
