| I just gave away a very sweet 13 week old puppy because it would make a sick child happy! There are a lot of reasons why breeders give pups away. Usually it's to people I know really well that would be good homes.

| I am so impressed with this thread it has gone straight to my heart.. I have loved yorkies for so many years...spent money I did not really have, and then got dogs with problems, if the dog was good the breeder like this past one, gave me a hard time wanting more money for papers.. I have thought that I must have a huge mark on my forehead.. I am a sucker ready to be taken.. And then I read this site.. I have had so many people say to me, that they cannot believe how my yorkies are so apart of my life and I live my life around them. Worry about them, care about them like they were my children. Play dress up, LOL Had to throw that in the mix.. Then I see this thread about people giving away perfectly healthy dogs.. and even good bitches.. because they know they would be loved, cared for and well looked after.. I cannot put into words right now what my heart is feeling. |

| No one !!!!! I guess no one is wanting a free yorkie. Or maybe everyone has one and this guy can't go in a home with any other pets. Oh Well. |

| I don't have a yorkie yet but I already have 3 other dogs. I guess he would be aggressive towards mine. I'm still looking for my yorkie. I can't afford one yet. After taxes maybe.

| I guess it all depends on the reasons. Does the breeder have other yorkies at her house? Since she said this one is aggressive towards other dogs, maybe that's why she's giving him away for free, so it will be a better situation for all the dogs involved.

All I know is that he has gotten into it with a couple of her yorkies. She does not want to put him down or anything like that but find him a good decent home where there is no other pets. As who knows he could be aggressive to all other pets.

There are plenty of good hearted people out there. And I agree as when I started this thread and the first one told me about giving one away it sure lightened my heart.

| New Home Duke has now found his forever home with a very grateful and loving lady. It made her day when she was told she could have him. Thanks everyone for the comments. |

If ever I was in the 'breeder' mode, I would also want to use the opportunity to bless families. My pastor's daughter has a severe chronic illness and has had over 11 brain surgeries in the short 8 years of her life. A yorkie breeder GAVE them a sweet little boy around Christmas time. She is an amazing little girl and this 'gift' really has lifted her spirits... here is a photo of her with my little Zoe Girl. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...r/100_3874.jpg
