I have this problem. My neighbors and I get along, but for some reason, especially durring the winter, let their dogs out to potty in the front. And they come over to my yard. Let me just remind you that their back yard is fenced in~~~~ I'm hoping they come pick it up soon or I'll have to ask them to.

Well Vicki, I live on 8 acres in the country and several neighbors don't keep their dogs up. My little Murfee poops tootsie rolls...Their dogs are big and poop footballs. They make their "rounds" every morning thru my front yard and always seem to have to do their business here. We have some big decorative rocks in front of the house. One time there was a BIG pile on one of the rocks. Now how did he get his butt up there? We have a little fenced back yard and that is the only place where we let Murfee go.

Thanks!
It means to clean up after them and their mess. There are laws to fine folks but they are not enforceing it.

pitch it in their front yard!
Our neighbor used to let their dog out to run the neighborhood and do it's business. Well after a couple of months of picking up their dog's poo and throwing it away, I started chucking it across the street in front of their house.

I don't know if moving to the country would help..my parents live out in the country on 48acres. Dogs are ALWAYS running through our property. There's always unknown poop in their yard around the house...dog poop, cat poop, coyote poop, etc.... I think you'll end up with more poop and unknown animals in your yard if you live in the country.

Definitely get your sign

Default What a great sign idea

I love the R.I.P. one! I don't think the pesticide one would work because they will see your dog out there. We live on a three house street that backs to the woods where a path goes to the park. EVERYONE w/i a 5 block radius walks their dogs on our street. It is great in some ways. I have met the most wonderful people this way (I love to sit on my porch in my cracker barrel rocker). BUT whenever I am not there people just let their dogs crap on my yard (right by the curb where my husband has to park if the kids are playing basketball). It never fails if we are in a hurry one of the 6 of us steps in some other dogs poop!

To the OP. I would have chased that kid down and dumped the poop in his bare hand...lol. Or, put it in a paper bag and set it on fire on his porch...lol! One time I had a dog across the street who ALWAYS pooped on my driveway where I parked... I would alway step in it when I got home. I nicely asked them to stop him from doing it and they didn't... so I started taking a pooper scooper and everytime he did it I just dumped it RIGHT outside their front door... right where they would step as soon as they open the door. This broke them right away! lol

ew...luckily no cat issue around where I live. There is a pretty big effort in this city to spay/neuter cats. We have the Aggie Feral Cat Alliance that humanely traps cats and takes them to the vet school where they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and given an ear notch for identifications purposes. They are then released again.

Surely you have a beautiful lush lawn because you think it's better to pee and poo on our lawns. She moved off fast but went to my elderly neighbors lawn. So off my mouth went. I was like that wasn't license for you to let your effing dog go on my neighbors lawn....I told her you better pick up that poo or I am going to get a bag and pick it up and throw it on your front porch or window...so you decide. She picked it up then. She was ready to walk off and leave it. Oh man that works me.

I think I will get a sign that says please dont' walk your dog on the lawn it has been treated with chemicals...we are not responsible for your sick dog. That might work nicely.

I like your quote

me too! There are all kinds of snakes on my parent's property. They have a pond behind their house and my dad normally kills several poisonous snakes around there every summer.

You know though...both times I've come in close contact with a snake has been here at my townhouse complex!! A few summers ago I had been out running errands with Lacy and parked under my covered parking space...there is a small patch of grass right next to where I park with a couple small trees so I let Lacy go over there to potty before we headed inside. I saw something move and pulled her back. It was a copperhead all coiled up! I had to get some men in the office to kill it..it was like 4 feet long!! And then a couple months ago I was letting Rylie and Lacy potty and there was a tiny snake on the side walk. It was cold outside too...it was dark so I don't know what kind of snake it was but that just really freaks me out. There is a big park right across the street from where I live though so I'm sure there are all kinds of animals that come out from over there.

I am terrified of spiders and scorpions too

We've been having an epidemic of rabid skunks around town too.. so I try to stear clear of all wildlife

oh my stars you need to get the patrol watch going on and the next time they land a land mine like that on your rocks I would open the door and use one of the new quotes hehe
