| Oh how terrible! And obviously they bred her while she was in poor condition! The poor little thing!! It all sounds too horrible to be true. Did she mention if the puppy/puppies lived? If they did, she couldn't possibly be trying to get rid of the poor mother; if they didn't this poor, unhealthy, suffering dog may also be in shock and traumatized. I hope someone has made it over there already....every second counts! As soon as anyone knows that she has been rescued, please post!! |

| The lady said, that she had one puppy and that it had hair. But the mom is a very shy dog and not outgoing.(wonder why!) What vet doesn't sew up a dog,(tapes instead) I'm scaried that she did it herself or had someone do it. I'm don't know that but that's what I'm thinking. I'm scaried to bring her here. I have 16 dogs, what if it's manage, and I don't have anywhere to keep her. I have a momma dog in the house and she would go nuts if a new dog was in the house. I'm going to call the lady back and see if she still has her and get some more info. |

How about the local ASPCA ? I had to call them about a neighbors dog - in an emergency - the will get RIGHT out there - and at least get that yorkie out of the house- the problem is - I don't know how fast she'd be treated but They may be able to direct you to another help number - OR a vet that could pick her up - she needs to be out of that house ASAP. YOU'RE doing a great thing here - Way to go ! | |

| Morganton is near Hickory, about 2 hours from Charlotte. If I go get her would someone promise that someone else could take her or a rescue, very soon. I want her to have medical attention but I myself can't afford what she wil need. |

| Ok girls, I am very confused. I just called the woman who has the dog and she said a woman is there and going to take her but if the dog does not eat, she will return her in a few days. Why is she giving her away as a pet? Does anyone understand what going through this lady's mind? I am at a loss right now. I was willing to drive over there all the way from Brooklyn but now she is giving her away. ?????

| I will help monetary wise the most I can....I can probably send you about $50.00-$60.00... I can mail a check or pay via credit card if you drop her off at a vet!!!

| I am in Canada and I feel so helpless. I wish that there were something that I could do to help you all and that poor baby. I can't believe that that women would not take the dog to the vet. If she can't afford to pay, I'm sure that they could do something just for the fact of her condition. If there is anything that I can do... please do not hesitate to let me know, but in the meantime my thoughts and prayers are with that baby. I will be checking in throughout the day in hopes to read that a miracle has happened.

| Here's the thing, her stomach would only rip open soon after the surgery, not when the pup is old enough to make it without her. Another thing....IF a person is there to get her and says she will return her in a FEW DAYS IF SHE DOESN'T EAT then she is not going to be in any better of a home!!! |
