| i have 2 five year old girls and a 3 year old little boy. Fender does great with the children and all other childern he has been around, including my 1 year old nephew. I am more concerned about them falling on him and hurting him than anything else. I just take them sit down to play with him and no running or jumping in the room with him.

| I have a five year old son and a three month old yorkie. They are CRAYZEEEE about one another! Yorkies are so very fragile so you have to be really careful but for us it's been good. We got Oliver when he was eight weeks old- and they are bonding real nice. Here's a picture of them!

I have three kids- 8, 6, and 5. My 5 year old is the typical rough and tumble boy, but not around the dogs. He has been raised to appreciate and respect them... I have not had any problems with my kids and dogs. The kids are not left alone in the room with them, and if they are doing something that I don't think the dogs should be around- (the new High School Musical Twister game, for an example) then the dogs go in their crates. Also I have a 150 lb Mastiff, and if she were not as gentle as she is, there could be problems. The only problem I have had is children coming into my home that have not been taught to respect dogs/animals. My babies are put up in their crates, and only the Mastiff is allowed to be around them. I won't take any chances. I think if you have small dogs and children, you must make the decision to confine the dogs in their crates (or a seperate room) when a situation warrants it... as much as I don't like to do it, it is best for them, and I know they will be safe. | |
