| I just read through this post today and would be willing to take on this little girl's veterinary expenses if we can get her to Winnipeg, Canada. This thread is becoming quite negative and I think we should all put ourselves in the shoes of the original poster. I'm not sure about the United States, but surgery for patellar luxation here in Canada is more than $3,000 alone. That, combined with the other ailments will likely cost nearly $5,000 altogether. That kind of money would hurt almost anybody. I feel like a broken record, but I am in a very lucky position in that I can obtain virtually unlimited veterinary services because my small business belongs to a barter exchange - an group of businesses that trade products and services in return for "barter credit" instead of cash. I usually build one or two websites at $5,000 each in barter credit every month. I can then spend that money with other businesses in the exchange. There is an excellent veterinarian and pet supply store that belong to the barter exchange. My Yorkie/Chi angel, Tika, was given a clean bill of health by the veterinarian at her humane society but my vet immediately noticed she had patellar luxation and will need the surgery down the road. If I did not have the abovementioned veterinarian situation, I would have been forced to return her for her own wellbeing (which would have been the most heartbreaking thing I could imagine). It's a tough situation because if the original poster just sits back and allows this to happen (because her heart has fallen in love with this dog), the unscrupulous person who sold her will continue to be deceitful and misleading. I'm going to send a private email to the original poster and respectfully ask people to be a little more kind on this thread. Maybe we can all work together to get this little girl to me for veterinary care? If the original poster is willing to permanently rehome this Yorkie with me I would be thrilled, but I am willing to get this girl the veterinary care she needs regardless. First things first ... I'm going to ask the original poster if she would like to accept my offer. If she agrees, here is what I'm thinking ... I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba ... a three hour drive from Grand Forks, North Dakota or Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since I got Tika from the U.S. (Thief River Falls, Minneapolis) I know there is a $30 charge to bring a dog across the border from the U.S. to Canada that I could cover. The second requirement is that the dog must have up to date rabies vaccinations. Is there anyone willing to volunteer their time to help drive this girl from her current location en route to either Grand Forks, North Dakota and Minneapolis, Minnesota? I could meet up with a volunteer there. Unfortunately this would have to be after Feb. 15 when I return from my vacation. (Man, I almost wish I wasn't going now!) I'll let everyone know what the original poster says.

| I think Dena wants her money back so finding the girl a home isn't the only issue. I don't think Dena would have a hard time at all of finding a good home for this girl but that doesn't seem to be the problem right now. She's in limbo until she hears back from the lady she got her from or takes her to a vet. Right now this isn't an adoption kind of problem. She(Dena) is actually catching a lot of flack on many threads soooo, I'm not sure if she'll even reply anymore. Hope it all works out.

| Does anyone know which city and state the the original poster is from? Once I know that information I can take a look on www.mapquest.com to see if we can get volunteer drivers to help transport her to my city. Let's make all posts from this post forward positive, helpful ones to get this little girl the help she needs.

| Geesh people I can't believe everyone on here trying to play God! This is so ridiculous, even after several others ask it to be dropped, it just continues, I am new here and I'll tell you what, I would be very cautious about what I will post here! No reason to attack or second guess someones motives, suggestion yes, but down right Harassment NO! Are your lives that boring? It is amazing to me how everyone knows what is best, get real people. Just had to vent, this is not doing this site any justice!

| I feel bad for this poor little baby...So sweet and not any of this is her fault. The thought of her going back on that plane is killing me! I wish you could resell her to some one who wants the poor thing and would love her to pieces... *CRY* How much did she cost you... some one here maybe might want her. Can't you rehome her here????

| For those familiar with paying for Yorkies and PayPal - how does it work. Does the neglectful previous owner have the legal power to seize the dog for non payment? What is the worst case scenario? I wrote Dena an email asking how much she paid for Gloria and offered to buy her from her if she would be willing to accept monthly payments (and trust me because she she doesn't know me at all). I don't have a lot of extra cash, but could make payments if she allows. Something about this story has completely grabbed my heart and although I have been applying to many rescues looking for a Yorkie, something in my heart tells me this little girl might be the one. I know better than to get too excited (since I have had many let downs) but it is the same feeling I had when I saw Tika's photograph. Something feels right and I can't explain what it is. Perhaps because she's the most beautiful little creature I have ever laid eyes on (besides Tika and Annie). I don't see a sick dog in those photographs ... I see a little angel.

| Does anyone have Dena's phone number? If so, can you send it to me privately? I'd like to phone her and talk with her in case she is so upset by the attacks on this thread that she isn't reading this
