| Heart tumor... Please pray for my husband George who has a tumor in his aorta (heart) valve, it will be removed surgically Feb. 11th. He has had heart problems in the past and thanks to God he has pulled thru. I appreciate all my fellow YT prayers! Thank you. __________________________________________________ _______________ also...as most of you may know my last yorkie had to be put to sleep because of unethical breeders, Seaside Yorkies. I'd like your help in letting Seaside know that my complaint will be read by many. Please click on.... www.squeakywheel.com Please type on SEARCH COMPLAINT .. Seaside Yorkies and read the complaint. This will automatically send them an email that others are seeing what kind of breeding/selling practices. Hopefully they will correct what is wrong and either change their practices or close them down. Last edited by Ines3185lyorkie; 02-01-2008 at 01:58 PM. |

| To those who prayed.. I have to give thanks once again and update. My husband went in for a simple procedure and ended up in with a complication that almost cost him his life. He has an AICD Defribilator (think of it as paddles that are used to resuscitate someone when they have a heart attack). Now he has this AICD machine implanted in his chest. He had the day of the surgery 16 arythmias and coded on the OR table. Thank God the surgeon worked on him and didn't give up stabilized him. He spent 16 days in ICU and 2 in Telemetry before going home. In order to revive him they ended doing an open heart surgery. I know this is a huge explanation and unless you are a nurse or know about ventricular Tachycardia you may not understand too much. BUT I just wanted all those who posted and prayed to know that they really made a difference and he is alive because of ALL those who prayed. Thank You |

| That's great. Guess you've been living through some very tense moments. Glad your hubby is on the road to recovery. Take care.

Yes, Dr. Joseph Lamelas I believe is #2 in the nation as the best of the thoracic surgeons. The turmor they removed turned out to be calcification, the problem was that since he has a history of ventricular tachychardias his heart started having arrithmyas. When his heart was of the heart-lung machine after the removal of the "tumor" the heart would start and continue with these aythmias. My hubby's AICD defibrillator ran out of battery, they changed it right then but it could still not get him into a normal sinus rhythm. So the Dr. then opened his chest and used the internal paddles to try to bring the heart to norman rhythm. The doctor even massaged his heart with his hands. My hubby was in the OR from 8 am to 6 pm. Once the doctor stabilized him he was moved to intensive care. He didnt need a bypass since he went in to have a "tumor" removed, thru a minimally invasive procedure. If he hadn't have the VT episodes they wouldn't have had to open his chest. He is recuperating slowly, we both are 45 years old so he should be ok soon. Thanks. OMG.. No he didn't need the valve replaced! I thought that was the reason they had gone over time...then I was told of the complication.. Last edited by Ines3185lyorkie; 04-19-2008 at 02:32 PM. | |
