| I don't pretend to be an authority on this, but how about giving him a very little Benedril before bedtime (please check with vet first). Also, I've heard putting a ticking clock in their crate works. If all else fails, you might want to think about getting him a companion. We have two little girls and they sleep in separate crates next to each other. The younger one was about 10 weeks old when we brought her home and there was never a squeak out of her at night. Both the girls remain perfectly still all night long and look forward to going into their "den" for the night. I wish you luck. You need your sleep. I'm sure with all these suggestions from Yorkie Talk, you'll find one that works for you and for your little guy. |

| Haha! That's good. I feel really silly now. And I'm pretty glad, because the only things I found were of a, let's say, rather "illicit" nature. And I was wondering how something like that would help the dog sleep. Bwahaha. Ticking clock. Got it. We also have one of those noisemakers that does a simulated heartbeat sound, which works sometimes. |

Tell me about it Roxy would never get up out of bed. She is 3 yrs. old now, but for the past 8 months, I get up and bring them in 'their room' where the pee pads are. They stand there as if they are still sleeping - I say and point to the pad 'GO POTTY' - they look at me like I am speaking chinese. After a few minutes my own bladder is going to burst so I leave them and go to the bathroom myself, once back out I find that she has run back to my bed, barked at my hubby to pick her and she is back under the blankets - WITHOUT peeing - I don't get it ??? How in the world or WHY in the world does she want to hold it in longer ...oh well...she eventually goes, once I get her back up and going again - but it's so bizarre | |

| OMG, I am going through the same thing with Otis he is 7 months old and we have to play every nite for about 2 hours before bed so that he won't wake me up every 1-2 hours a nite to go potty and he now wants to go out just to get a treat when he comes back in, so we are trying to break him from that to.. It's like he thinks he is tricking me into giving him a treat when he just wants to go out to (pretend to go potty!) But any way he sleeps in our bed at nite and wakes me up licking my face making a really cute noise and I know he wants to get up. This is so funny because I was going to ask if any one else had ever had the same problems with the furbabies not wanting to sleep all nite. You just beat me to it! Thanks you for asking for me..... Just thought I would share some pictures with you all.... 1. Oreo and Otis asleep in her bed, he lays with her in her bed instead of his bed. 2. Just him asleep in her bed. Look at that cute little face.... 3. We were talking, he was telling me something really important. LOL! 4. JUst his normal I want you to do something for me look....

| Last night was better! Last night was much better! Cricket still ended up in the bed and was fidgety off and on, but he didn't run around the bed constantly like usual and didn't cry to go out! I SLEPT LAST NIGHT!!!! We got home yesterday and took him for a huge walk at this park behind our house. It was really cold, but we walked and ran around with him, and I realized how seriously out of shape I am. But it felt good, too! I think it will be great for us to get some exercise with him from now on. We played with him relentlessly the entire night, throwing toys back and forth and playing hide-and-seek. I've never seen his tongue wag so much, which is what he does when he's tired. This is so funny, but by about 9:30, he couldn't keep his eyes open! He's probably never been so tired in his entire life. We didn't want him to sleep yet, so we kept trying to wake him up. We were playing with him, and he would just keep going to sleep no matter what we did. We played with his arms and made him look like he was dancing, which he usually doesn't like, but he just about slept through that! Thank you all for the life-changing advice! I think it's going to help me get more exercise and be healthier, too! I'm thrilled! |
