				   | I had a great dane that never lifted his leg until we got our first male pug and he lifted his leg. Then that was it, the great dane would lift and pee on everything he could!

				   | I don't have any boy dogs but I would be very happy if my boy dog squated like a girl...the leg lifting thing is one reason I wouldn't want a boy dog.

				   | Has he been neutered? If not, it's best to get him neutered before he starts lifting his leg, otherwise, it will probably be on the wall, backs of couches, etc. We got our little guy neutered at 5 1/2 mos. he doesn't actually squat, he puts his front and back paws on the pee pad and then sort of leans forward..he actually does better than the girls. Now, he does have a favorite bush outside, that when I let them out to run, he has to lift his leg on |

				   | I had always had female dogs, so years ago when our daughter was little she had a mixed breed from the time he was apup he never lifted his leg. Then when Odie was a baby he squatted all the time too but then when he saw his first male dog lift his leg to pee that was it. It was like a light bulb went on in his tiny head, " like that's how I'm supposed to do it" I guess sometimes it just might take another male dog to show them. Today the wind was terrible so when my babies went out to potty, Odie squatted and into the wind too. LOL |

				   | Tucker squats and I think it's super cute! I actually prefer it because then there isn't pee everywhere...not to mention it's adorable!

				   | This is a good thing don't complain We are the lucky ones trust me. Loki only lifts if he is peeing on a hill so he will be even.

				   | I wish Dusty would squat. He used to when he was little but he lifted his leg one time and his first mommy made a huge thing about it , thought it was soo cute. Now he pee's on EVERYTHING.

				   | Toto lifts his leg but he didn't start this until he was almost a year old. It was funny to watch him because he would go up to a post or a tree, then lift the opposite leg. We thought he would never get it right. He has never peed on furniture or anything else. He has been very good about choosing his "place".

				   | Would you rather that he peed on the wall/furniture?

				   | No one had to teach my little guy how to lift his leg, he was never around little males before, but, like I said, in the house, it's squat(well, not really even squatting as he just kind of stands, but, outside, then it's where's my bush?? |
