I am so very sorry that this happened. It sounds like you hang around with some pretty mean-spirited kids. I am so very sorry that this happened, but now the "ball is in your court". You have a choice whether you invite these "meanies" back into your home.

Just be thankful that they weren't relatives that you HAVE to put up with.

Don't dump your friends just yet....boys are so worried about being manly - and they have no clue what manliness is... they think it makes them look cool and manly to "dis" anything girly. In Texas language, "cut them a little slack" - that kinda means give them time - they'll out grow this stage.

My husband's football team loves to give me a tough time about my furbabies - I just laugh. Now,when they think I'm not looking - they are petting and snuggling them. It also helps that she wears a black and gold jersey. (you might try that)

Here is a picture of my son who is a college fb player - he is old enough now to realize that little dogs are chick magnets!

i agree!!! after a while they'll stop being so insecure, don't mind them they are boys, my freshman science teacher told us that boys have a label on their forehead (or should) that says "stupid" (no offense) lol... keep your head up!! you're an awesome mommy

I hear you! My friends and FAMILY make fun of me for dressing up my two babies. They always tell me that I'm boring for my age (18) and I need to get real friends. (It isn't like yorkies are imaginary or anything! GEEZ!) Personally, I would much rather spend time with my pups then them and I think they know that and it bothers them.

point well taken!!! boys follow the lead of the pack so although they may have acted like that ....there is a strong possibility that deep inside they wish they had such a cool fur baby for a pet!! You keep being an awesome mommy and when they see that this does not bother you and they can accept you and your baby as one unit or NOT!!! Maybe you need to associate with others in your area who are your age with furbabies or are there any???

What is it about boys and clothes on dogs? The boys in my life HATE it when put clothes on my dog. And when I say boys, I mean my 55 year old father and my 32 year old husband! LOL! Do they ever outgrow it?

its jealousy who cares what they think or say..i have pp say that to me also and i laugh at them and say hey i can do it so i will i love spoiling her shes my kid...i dont care they can me crazy nuts roll their eyes to me its like whatever u r not me u dont make my money i do so bite me
