Yes, I have tried that too. One of the neighbor dog has tags and when Delilah would be out with me and hear the tags she would run to him. I have taken him around with me hoping she would come. I really have done everthing suggested, all I can do know is hope someone will call. |
still no luck? have you called all the police stations and animal shelters in your area to be on the lookout? |

I was taking her to potty at about 6:30 or 7:00 pm. There were no fireworks being shot up until we went out. |

Tissy, I am sure you have already thought of offering a reward, but I'd like to suggest that you go to everyone you know and love, who understands how much you love your Delilah and can feel how much pain you are in, and ask them to pitch in to a reward fund. Offer as big a reward as possible. Hopefully, she is in someones home right now...and maybe a big reward, with NO questions asked...maybe that will help? You and Delilah are in my prayers tonight. I pray that you can stay as strong as Delilah needs you to be. I pray that you can be as strong as she is being...be brave for her. Fight for her! You HAVE to believe that YOU CAN DO THIS! She will be doing everything she can to survive...that little monkey of yours will find food if she's hungry, she'll find shelter if she's cold. She does not want you to give up hope. PLEASE BE STRONG and DONT BE TOO PROUD TO ASK FOR HELP!!! |
Just checking in for an update. Still praying for your sweet baby! |
We keep coming back a few times a day!!! Still saying our prayers and knowing your baby will be home anytime now!! xoxo *licks* from Parker!! |

Here are a Few...... Any one can Register here and they alert you when a dog is lost in your area and help you find yours if lost. http://dogdetective.com/ < this is the best site I have seen. http://www.fidofinder.com/dog.php?id...FQSOFQoddl0UWQ http://www.missingpet.net/ |
I know local radio and tv shows have already been suggested, but our local radio has a website for lost/found animals. People post who they're missing and people post who they've found. Do any of your stations or city have anything like that? And remember you have to visit the shelters every single day (that's a job you can delegate). And remember that the humane society and the shelters are not necessarily affiliated. I was shocked to learn, when a friend lost her cat, that in our city, you have to check both places independently. They don't actively try to find the owners, they are just housing them. Still hoping and praying here......... |
Praying and thinking of Delilahs safety. :yorkiesar |

This was just reported on our local news. Maybe you could contact a local TV station to run your story? http://www.wyff4.com/news/14969516/detail.html WYFF4.com 'Wonder Dog' Safely Home With Owner Dog Went Missing After Fireworks POSTED: 10:24 am EST January 3, 2008 UPDATED: 10:31 am EST January 3, 2008 SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -- After an enormous outpouring of sympathy and offers of help from the community to help find a man's best friend, his dog came home on his own Thursday morning. Mike Porter's Australian shepherd is both his best friend and his co-worker. Porter is a farmer who lost his left arm in a wreck with a drunk driver. "I can't get out there with those bulls like I used," he said. That's where Porter's dog Shed comes in. "He herds cattle, buck and bull, sheep anything. He loads bulls up in the trailers, moves around the pen. He does all the work," Porter said. Friends refer to Shed as “Wonder Dog” because of his skill in working with the farm animals. But on New Year's Eve, the intrepid dog's one fear got to him. "He's scared to death of fireworks," Porter said. Shed was outside when he got spooked by the sound of fireworks, and he ran away. WYFF aired the story of Shed's disappearance, and Porter said he got about 100 calls from people wanting to help find his dog. While Shed was still missing, Porter choked back tears as he said, "He never gave up on me. I've seen him get hurt and keep working, with a dog like that you don't give up on him." Shed showed up around 7 a.m. Thursday at the family's house. Porter said he was clean, not cold, and he was actually a little fatter. He thinks someone was taking good care of Shed and possibly saw the story and figured he needed to let the dog go home. This is the second time that Shed has run away after being frightened by fireworks. Porter says he's looking into GPS tracking for Shed to make sure this doesn't happen a third time. I check this thread over and over hoping for good news. :( Sending prayers you\'ll find her and that God is watching over Delilah until she comes home. See Teri88\'s post? Well....a year ago...we met up with Teri for her to pick up Maddie in Ohio. Maddie escaped and took off in a panic run. We spent hours looking for her....made fliers, handed those out, posted them, called the radio station, everything you can imagine. As evening approached there was a phone call with a Maddie sighting....much further than we ever imagined Maddie would travel....LIKE 2 MILES. A group went that night...no Maddie, the next morning...two of us went again...no Maddie...later on Teri and Megan went...no Maddie....finally Maddie\'s original owner was able to come...and low and behold...out from the brush...comes Maddie. The point of that story...is just how far they will travel if scared...along with the fact...Maddie was there...just hiding from us. Keep on looking...is there a squeaky toy Delilah likes? Or a phrase...like treat? Mine will come to either of those... I wish I had more suggestions...keeping you both in my prayers. |
