Prayers needed...Delilah is missing
 
I opened the door and Delilah ran out and off went one of those loud cannon fireworks and she took off like a light! I have been walking and driving all around the neighborhood and letting people know to be on the look out. The fireworks are going off and will be for a long time. She is scared and cold....please pray she will come home or at least some kind hearted person will take her in tonight! I am so worried.

I would call the local animal control- and local police- alot will be out tonite- they might see her and get her home! I bet you are just sick-with worry- she might just be hiding!

That sounds like great advice. I hope she comes home soon. I am sure you are worried sick about her being out in the cold and so scared.

You and Delilah are in my thoughts and prayers. I have a feeling that she will come home to you soon. I have some advice for you. I've been told that scared dogs run in LARGE circles. So basically drive in circles around your neighborhood. IF you see her, I know you will be very excited and worried, but try your hardest not to freak out. When Maddie ran away I made the mistake of screaming her name when I saw her, and she took off again. Try to stay calm, and don't move towards her, let her come to you.

I wish you so much luck and I'm praying that you will find her very soon!

You will find her and she will be fine. I know this in my heart. Nothing is ever lost. Our good Lord knows everyone of His creatures, knows the very hairs of their heads, and knows exactly where they are all the time. No harm will come to your puppy.

does she have a tag on? I know I have read where a lot of them take off when fireworks start up..I gave my shih tzu the last of her pills tonight, as they let them off here too..she gets so upset, that I get her pills right down her to keep her from going nuts..please let us know when you find her..am sending prayers your way

I am sooooooooo sorry! Said a prayer for you. I'm so afraid something like that might happen to my bolter. Just read one posting today about putting a gate up that does not allow doggies to get close to the outside door. My heart breaks for you.:cry:

Thanks all, and I did call the police and asked if they could keep an eye out. I am afraid it does not look good. It is dark out and she is so tiny and dark as well. It will be like looking for a needle in a haystack. I can only hope she has found her way to someone's doorstep and they have taken her in. At least it does not get as cold here as up north but still too cold for my little angel. My tears are not helping me but they still flow.
