| ![]() Welcome to YT! Hang in there..the biting will get better. A.J was and still is a biter but as he gets older, it's getting much better. My best advice is to pick a punishment or reaction to the bite and do it every time. Good luck!

| ![]() Welcome to YT. You'll love it here. Once you find this site, you don't want to leave. LOL !! Everyone has given you great advise. The chew toys, etc, but it will get better. It seems like it's about the 7-8 month mark that they start to get alot better. I have 2 Yorkies and a Yorkie/Poo. The yorkie/poo is the youngest (named Romeo) He is 8 months now. He is alot better. He just has soooo much energy when he gets with the others. Anyways, Welcome to YT. Darlene ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Its definitely true it will get better! My Oliver always was nipping my hand -- even if I tried to stick a toy in his mouth, he seemed to zero in on my fingers ![]() |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() I have a 12 weeker that is doing that. Guinness is always nibbling. I do the toy thing, got him plenty of things to chew on but he seems to like the squishy fingers and toes. I use a stern voice and use NO or make a sound to get his attention. It takes awhile but he calms down. |

| ![]() Reagan was biting really bad & leaving marks at first & I tried saying ouch kinda loud & then I would put her in her x-pen, neither one fazed her so I was searching on YT & came across a thread & she advised to take them a little by their neck (like their mother would do, not harsh) & say no bite it has really been effective w/her & now she may be acting like she's going to bite but she'll just nudge instead so my hands say thank you to everyone w/wonderful advice ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Thank you guys! I was feeling really overwhelmed because Lola was really getting better yesterday because I kept her mellow but today my husband and daughter were with her while I was at work and she was nuts when I got home. It gives me hope to hear your stories. I did have a yorkie years ago that lived to be 14 but I just didn't remember the puppy phase at all. |
