Its definitely true it will get better! My Oliver always was nipping my hand -- even if I tried to stick a toy in his mouth, he seemed to zero in on my fingers
When he got really worked up, I used to just calmly end play time too -- get up, put him in his crate or just walk away until he calmed down. He is 7 months old right now and has totally outgrown it.
