A lot of designer mixes are breed to avoid problems that run in one breed or another!
I would get vet references, ask to see parnets, ask for references from previous puppies owers! I'd check it out- don't give any money untill you see them!
If it is healthy and you like it- get it- I think most just don't want you to get scammed!
And don't want you to end up with lotsof vet bills!
But it's you money- spend it like you want!
That is sweet of you to get your mother a puppy! |
NO reputable breeders would ever intentionally breed a mixed breed dog. Stay far far away from any breeder that breeds mixes

And in no way are these designer dogs healthier than purebreds as you are mixing two purebreds together. And the breeders that mix these dogs are backyard breeders and puppymills that do no health testing on their dogs. They breed these dogs to make money...you have a much better chance of getting a healthy dog from a reputable purebred breeder than a designer dog from a backyard breeder. Most toy breeds bred together to create these mixes have similar genetic problems (such as luxating patella and liver shunt) so the mixes have just as much of a chance of getting them as purebreds.
