Oh I can't wait to see what she says about Murphy either. I'm really interested in finding out what she says about Gracie's LP. It isn't severe enough for surgery (at least as of last Feb) but she said there are a lot of herbs and supplements that help and gave me a few ideas of things I can feed her to help.

Here's her site http://www.holisticanimalclinic.net/ It isn't very complete but the address and phone number are there. I'm taking Gracie and Spike in Feb. since that's when they're due for their rabies shot.

Here's the good news- Sugar didn't go all night and this morning he had a perfectly normal poo!

YAY on the vet, she sounds FANTASTIC! And yay for the poo. Seriously, the fish diet can be a freakin' miracle for a dog in trouble - the same thing happened w/ Marcel: 1.5 days after starting the diet (no meds or supplements), he had firm poos. It is truly that easy on their systems. A great diet for a dog who needs healing and needs to rest their digestive system. Now you'll be able to get him back to health. YAY for Suge!!

Do you cook the fish? If so how? I don't know much about cooking fish except grilling or pan fried/grilled.

SUPER easy! Just put some aluminum foil on a baking sheet, spray w/ non-stick, lay down fillets (I'd usually do 5-6 at a time), I would lightly season w/ Mrs. Dash table blend, bake for about 15 mins or until fish is flaky, at 375-400 degrees. Once done, I'd put fish in tupperware and just flake it up w/ a fork. I'd always have to sneak a couple bites for myself too, bc it really is yummy!

Then I'd also do mashed potatoes (little butter/salt) and steamed/pureed green beans.

Nikki it sounds like that vet is AWESOME! I'm so jealous-can you send her my way too?! I haven't heard the best things about the holistic vets here, but am still looking to find a new vet that I trust and like.

Anyway, very interesting what she said about his diet and needing cold foods. The accupuncture probably really helped-I don't know why it works, and it seems off the wall to me too, but hey, if it works, and it's not harmful, then I'm for it!

So glad Sugar's feeling better-he's lucky to have you as his mommy to take such good care of him!
