I'm sorry to hear your troubles, I went through something very similar except it involved the death of my nana (mother figure) and I ended up sleeping in my car... but it was late summer and I had my dog.

If they're your dogs, I'd get a police escort to the house and go collect all your things. She cannot keep your belongings and the yorkies if they're yours.

I'd then give her space and wait until she calms down and comes to you to apologize. No sense stressing yourself for her issues. Live you life and enjoy your independence.

I haven't spoken to my mom is six years and you know I'm much happier and stress free without all the drama that went with that relationship. Sometimes you just have to look after yourself and do what's best for you.

I didn't pay for the dogs, but the boy was a birthday present, and haylee she bought for me 3 years ago. She always says they're my dogs, around everyone, don't know if that helps in getting them back. I got all the papers for them, under my name. Thank you for all your advice. Guess the only thing i can do is try to wait it out, and see if tings get any better.

If all the papers are in your name then I would say that legally they are yours. My girls are both registered in my name only and I consider that final. Period. I let other members of my family fuss over them, but the girls are MINE!! Good luck. I hope you get them back soon. Keep us posted.

If they were "gifts" to you, then she cannot take them back. Who paid the bills for them? Do you have a key to your mom's house? I would go one day when she's not at home and take them. But if you do decide to take them, make sure you have the money to pay for them!

Sounds like they are your dogs to me, if you have their papers and they are in your name. It doesn't matter who paid for them. As long as they are looked after right now, get yourself sorted out and into your new place..then go after the dogs. they do not need you living in a mess and stressed neither..again, that all depends on how much stress they have to deal with while being where they are now..

I agree with Felina, I would have a police escort take you to the house to get your things and your babies--the paperwork in your name should be proof enough and let your mom know that it's nothing personal and you will leave her be until she's calmed down and ready to talk things over with you (maybe write her a short note, without being confrontational?). So sorry you're going through this, but be strong and you will overcome it and be a better/stronger person because of it.

Im so sorry this happened. But if those papers are in your name, you have a right to them, I know by going and getting them that will prob cause more trouble between you and your mom, but she did kick you out, and those are your babies.

so i went over with the police, and pretty much they can't do anything about it . we asked for haylee and killer. she said NO. she gave killer to my brother, and now wont give haylee to me. im heartbroken, and shes moving in 3 days. i dont know what to do. i dont have money for a new baby, and i can't have my old one. im heartbroken i cant stop crying.=[ i even sat outside and begged her, she pretty miuch laughed in my face.

oh my gosh, that's brutal! I'm so sorry...did something happen recently or has she just kind of snapped (sorry, couldn't think of a better word). Maybe you need to take further action legally? Like get some kind of injunction against her for getting rid of the dogs until you can settle it? Do you think your brother would give you back Killer?
