You are the reason breeders will not place pups with young adults!
adolescent behavior?
12 step drinking program?

first off: I AM NOT A DRINKER period.....END OF STORY.
second: i am in no way trying to excuse myself for spanking her.....i know that you should never hit anyone or anything for any reason and i have no excuse.....but adolescent behavior? all i do is work. i have NO friends other than the people i work and live with. and i am (like so many of you have been)
new to this.

I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH MY FEEDING HABBITS WITH HER,
THAT IS WHY I CAME HERE FOR HELP AND OPINIONS. that doesnt sound like
adolescent behavior to me......that sounds like someone trying to be an adult and ask questions about things that they dont know about.
bashing people is no way of changing anything except their opinion of YOU.

I have had my yorkie for almost a year now and I have found that they are very expensive dogs. If you just turned 21 and are about to go out on your own you may want to think about a few things before committing to keeping M.J.
She needs to get to a vet asap, no questions about it, for a check up and to get on a monthly flea/tick repellent and a monthly heartworm preventative. This is going to cost you roughly $20 a month and it is absolutely necessary every month and meds from walmart and target are garbage, she needs a vet.
Second there is grooming which some can do themselves, involving nail trimming and secreting the anal glands ( you can google it cause I don't want to get into detail about that). She also needs yearly shots.
Can you possibly get a kennel / crate where she can go for refuge from the larger dog and keep food and water in there?
Also you mentioned that there is a child in the house, please keep an eye on MJ around the child as yorkies are very fragile.
As someone said already no human food please and a good quality food is going to be costly.
It is only fair that you give her the best life possible and if you can't do it at this time its ok! There is no shame in rehoming her and there are lots of people on here that have links to yorkie rescue sites where you can turn her in and she will go to a home after they have been thoroughly screened. If you really like the breed than research them for a while get out on your own and buy one from a reputable breeder with a health guarantee.
I think taking her in like you did as admirable and so far you have done the best you can. I know giving her up would be SO hard cause she is a doll! But it might be the best thing for both of you as it sounds like you can''t afford her right now. Just be fair to MJ.

Yes just try different canned foods untill you find one she likes. Another thing you can do is boil a chicken breast shred it up and serve with rice. However once you start homecooking for them it is hard to get them to go back to dog food. Best of luck

Sorry if you felt like you were being accused of that, your screen name would allude otherwise, so I hope you can see where, coupled with your story, people might have assumed that.

Tim - Lately there have been a lot of 'new' people signing onto YT and causing trouble. If you are legit, then we want to help you and MJ. You have to understand that your posts are just not the 'norm' of what we see on here, and with all the scamers and such, everyone is just on guard.

Now, like we have been saying, please bring MJ to the Vet. She need health care.

Also, she probably does have a family that is missing her, she please get her scanned for a possible micro chip. I know that I would be beyond heart broken if I was missing a Yorkie.

If no one claims her, than PLEASE consider contacting a Yorkie Rescue - You may care for her, but financially you can not provide for her. Please do whats best for MJ.

So very true.....Its hard. I home cook once a day and they are to the point they will hold out on te kibble until I feed them the "good stuffs" lol They have really taken a liking to Merricks Pot Pie though.... and that is very reasonaly priced. Maybe Original Poster could try that?

i did....and i did call every animal shelter around and no one reported her missing.
i am going to continue to post my questions on this site....despite the negative responses i have received. i value each and every opinion....good or bad....
i just think you could be a little nicer......being that i AM trying to help this dog and i DO care, otherwise i could just let her starve to death or tie her to a box in some corner of a building such as "orphan annie" was.

i will keep those of you whom want to know about my situation informed of what happens when i take her to the vet on Tues.

again.
sorry to have angered so many of you.....but i feel asking is the only way to LEARN. and ACTING is the only way to ACHIEVE.

Yeah...those were my inital thoughts too. One can only hope...as far as giving some advice, I wouldn't even know where to begin. I think that without even addressing all the issues mentioned, rehoming the dog would be the best, most sensible thing to do. If you know the vet needs medical attention and you can't afford to take her...IMO, you need to put her needs first and let someone who can provide for her adequately and take the time to properly socialize her take her and give her a good home.

I'm glad someone else feels this way. There are so many things wrong with this post it can't possibly be for real. If it is real I doubt that that poor puppy lives to be 6 months old.
