| ![]() first off let me say that i do am not offended at all by any of your responses. and i am NOT trying to use drinking as an excuse for spanking her. i knew it was wrong as soon as i slapped her hind end and she gave me the sad face. (im NOT a drinker by any means by the way...that was the night of my 21st birthday Sept 30th and it was the only time i have drank since or months before) i am sorry that some of you feel that i should rehome her. i personally dont think that but i respect your opinions. i am also sorry that some of you think that this is a joke....it is not. i know that i NEED to take her to the vet. but honestly i cant afford it right now. soon but not this moment. about the roommates...... we dont all share the same space...she is only exposed to about three people at any given time. she does have free reign in the house, but she tends to either stay on my bed, or on my roommates daughters bed. eating... she does not eat with gusto... very picky. and honestly in the back of my head i knew that maybe i shouldnt be feeding her taco bell.....i myself am a vegetarian an wouldnt dream of eating that crap so i had apprehensions feeding it to her just based on that. i do keep water available to her at all times. i will stop my roommates from feeding her and see how it goes. i read somewhere (cant find the article now) that hand feeding a dog such as her is not good though......but if it works for all of you i will DEFINITELY start. i honestly value each and every one of your opinions. to learn i must hear everyones and i know that. again i am truly sorry if i offended or upset anyone by my posts....but i cannot see any other way of truly understanding and knowing what is needed for my little one. i really do not want to give her up, and in january i am moving out on my own so i think i will at least give it until then and see what needs to be done. if i feel i cant take care of her to the best of my ability and keeping her happy, safe and healthy, i will definitely give her to a more suitable home. i will stop the worm medicine.....and i will not feed her the old roy anymore. any other opinions are welcomed with open eyes....i want to get her healthy and happy. thank you for the comment about my username......i have used it for years, and am proud to have a username that you can google and 90% of what you find will be me ![]() |

| ![]() oh and about walking her without a leash........ i dont get off of work until two in the morning.....so that is when i take her for her "long" walks. i do own a harness and leash for her.....but forgot it one day when we went out. i decided to just let her walk the park with me anyway.....and she didnt try to run or anything.....she stays at my side. i would never let her stay on the ground while a car or anything near... i pick her up if i think something is going to startle her. the places i walk her are BIG and desolate so i honestly have no fear of doing this. if i were somewhere with people around or cars or anything i wouldnt dream of letting her walk without the leash, but at the times i walk her i KNOW i have nothing to worry about. may i ask why this offends you so much? |

| ![]() It is obvious you care about your yorkie and you have handled the comments on here well. You might try a quality canned food. Mine are picky but will always eat the canned food

| ![]() i just want to say that i know you don't think you should rehome her but just to let you know, having a yorkie is very expensive..they need more attention than any other breed, not to mention the vet bills. I just think that if you really care about her and want to give her the best, you should consider that option. what if she gets really sick and you need to take her to the vet asap and you don't have the money? what then? you just need to be realistic..sorry if i sound harsh..i hope she'll get better!

thank you for saying that! this has to be a joke!! You would be best served to go into a 12 step program for drinking and a puppy intervention "step away from the puppy" rehome that poor puppy!!! HITTING a puppy ![]() You are the reason breeders will not place pups with young adults!

my next door neighbor works at a vet's office.....and she has helped us with more than one doggy problem (none for M.j. though) i have mentioned to her about the worms and she told me to bring her in....as everyone else did. i saw her in her yard a few minutes ago so i think i will walk M.j. over and just see what she says. again i am SO sorry that so many of you think me a bad dad. i really love this dog and would give the world for her....even if in the long run that means giving her up. but as i say i really just want to see how things work out. i am taking her to the vet SOON. i am heartbroken that i havnt been able to as of yet. i do want to say though, that treating a post as a joke is not a good idea. alot of people would get scared and not ask any more questions, which i think would be MUCH worse than asking question that may get a negative responce. | |

| ![]() People have made very good comments. Human food should be bland and plain - if that's how you are going to feed her. Dry and wet dog food should be available to her at all times - if that is the food you are going to feed her. Also water 24/7 - If you have problems with another dog eating her food, then you contain her and her stuff in your room with your door shut. If she has worms, she should go to the Vet. Worms eggs can be swallowed by You and Your Roomates - and then you ALL have worms.... I never advise walking a small dog without a harness and leash. I know that you said you are careful, but what happens when a HUGH dog (lets say Pitbull) whom is also roaming free starts to chase her - well, then you might have a dead little Yorkie. Remember that You have total control when she is harnessed and leashed. Yorkies are a Major Responsiblity and a Huge Expense. Please do what's RIGHT for the Yorkie, not what you think is right for you. ![]() |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | ![]() You asked why it offends some that you walk her without a leash its due to the fact that many peeps yorkies have been viciously attcked by stray dogs or by owners who also feel their dog does not need a leash, the leash keeps her within grabbing distance and helps the odds of you picking her up b4 anything else can get to her. Thats all....

| ![]() Tim, Get M.J to the Vet for a check up right away. Not tomorrow, now! Listen to the advice given on this site. It is all wonderful advice from very experienced people. As stated before, check for a microchip and try and find her family. I have just spent 6 months looking for the Yorkie for me. They aren't usually just "found". Sounds like someone has lost her and would be heartbroken without her. Let us know what happens please.
