| Bath Post-Neuter? How soon after neutering can you bathe your dog? Jesse was neutered this past Wednesday, four days ago. He normally gets a bath twice per week. I bathed him the night before the surgery, because I knew that it might be a while before he got another one. He seems fine and is back to his bouncy self. Should I wait until after the stitches are out to bathe him? That would mean 10 days between baths, which would mean a stinky Jesse. |

| You run the risk of infection if you give him a bath while the stitches are still in.

| I'd wait to the stitches were out so the soap doesn't irritate them.

| Thanks, everyone. I've been using the wipes to keep him as fresh as possible. I'm in no rush to bathe him, I'm more concerned about him healing well. Still, once it is safe he will be needing a bath ASAP. |
