How soon after neutering can you bathe your dog?

Jesse was neutered this past Wednesday, four days ago. He normally gets a bath twice per week.

I bathed him the night before the surgery, because I knew that it might be a while before he got another one. He seems fine and is back to his bouncy self.

Should I wait until after the stitches are out to bathe him? That would mean 10 days between baths, which would mean a stinky Jesse.
