| Welcome to YT! I love the name buttercup but you can still change it plenty of time, and for the crying, they sometimes have to cry it out, but alot on here have a great suggestion, putting there crate where they can see you

| From day one I have had Riley's crate on my nightstand next to me so he can see me and my husband and he barely ever cries. He only cries if he has to go outside and do business or if its time to get up! Other than that he is usually very quiet and goes right off to sleep.

| Its definitely not too late to change it..I heard two syllable names were best...but Elphaba is three and she responds great to it...better than her two syllable nick name of Elphie. As far as crying at night...our crate is downstairs in the living room. Elphie stopped the lonely crying after the first couple of nights. She started sleeping soundly through the night no problem....Then a month after she got home she'd cry when she wanted to go potty...usually once or twice in the night. After a month of me getting up a lot in the middle of the night, I started letting her sleep in bed with me a couple weeks back and now she sleeps soundly through the night...doesn't wake up until the alarm goes up or a kitty gets on the bed to wake us . | Hi Kenice I got my molly 5 days ago now and she's 7 weeks now,the 1st couple of nights she cried a lot and I was up 5/6 times in the night, but it was strange how she slept most of the day, so i put it down 2 she was scared of the dark so i tried putting a night light by her, and for the first time last night she slept through the night, apart from waking at 2am just for little play but then she went til 7.30am which was brill cos as i say i'd been getting up nearly every hour or so |

| I used a snugglepuppy which is soft and has a heartbeat with both of my boys which I got 6 months apart. I put them in a large kennel with a pee pad in the back of the kennel and I put them on the snugglepuppy in the front of the kennel at night and neither one of them ever cried. I put them in the bathroom at night. I only kenneled them at night until they were pad trained and about 16 weeks. They snuggle together at night in there dog bed now.Mom of LeRoy and Louie
