Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() Interesting responses. I really thought it was the dressing up issue. Not the marking or the boy parts issue. So placing 3 or 4 girls should be easy; why does it feel so difficult? |

| ![]() I'm sorry you're having difficulties. Females usually go so much faster than boys unless the boys are priced a lot cheaper.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() No it is hard making a decision --when every one is saying they want a girl because boys mark; and they want to dress up a girl--looking for something more constructive maybe. |

| ![]() I'm confused... if you have 5 females people will be standing in llines for them. Do you mean what if you have five males... because no one would want them? |

| ![]() We only have girls and that's because Dan wanted girls. I guess it's because we don't have any children of our own, and Dan is more of the "Daddy's Little Girl" kind of guy more than "That's My Boy" type of guy.... Personally, for me, I don't have a preference weather it's a male or female it's more about the personality of the puppy. If we could have one more pup, I'd take Freddie in a heartbeat!

I found all the responses just as interesting. I didn't realize the male parts or leg lifting was such a huge issue to many people.

| ![]() I think to be honest..I think it's because all of our lives, we've been told females are easier to housebreak(which I've found not to be necessarily true), boys mark(which I have found again not to be true..My mom took a little boy pup from me years ago, everyone told her what a mistake that was going to be, do you know out of all the dogs she's had in her life, he ended up being the sweetest, smartest, well behaved dog she had ever had..people had to eat their words..she had him house broke within 2 weeks after getting him, and until about a year before he died, he would never even think of peeing in her house..it's just when he got to be 14, he couldn't hold his bladder anymore, and you could tell it embarrassed him when she had to put his little pants on..she called his belly bands his pants, if she called them his diaper he wouldn't come over to her..I have the one dog(and as I stated, it was my hubby over me), I have never had an issue with Fritz on housebreaking or anything else, he's sweet/loveable, and less of a barker than my females..heck when I got Ginger, I was actually going to get her brother, until I got a boy and girl..I really wanted the little guy, my hubby is the one that wanted the girl, again, I think all the myths you hear about boys all your life, stays with you...? |

| ![]() I've never heard of boys pee being stonger smelling. I have both and don't smell a difference. Any dog may try to mark or hump, the sex doesn't matter there, my females are better at humping than the males I have. ![]() |

| ![]() I would take either, I have no preference towards boys or girls. I got a boy first because that was what was available. I would probably get a girl next because i've never had a girl dog and I think it would be nice to have one of each. As for a Biewer, I would take whatever I could get, they are so gorgeous, the initial price is the only thing keeping me from getting one, or another yorkie for that matter. Hubby is still looking for a good job and my boss lost his election, so in January I may be out of a job, I doubt it, but it could happen. P.S. I would especially like to have a Biewer from you!!!! You have gorgeous dogs and do such a wonderful job! ![]()

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() Vinnie's mom, thanks for the compliments. I did start this as a hypothetical (sp?) because almost every inquiry or phone call starts out with: "I want a girl." So I wanted to hear from folks not buying a puppy from me this minute, what influences your choies. I am really finding this informative. And yes, when I do have females, it is very hard to decide on placements--emails, pms, and phonecalls begin the day they are born--and there is 10 applications for every girl. Now, I am just as concerned about where the boys go too. The buyers interested in boys have a different attitude; almost a different mood if this makes sense. Less competitive. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | ![]() I actually wouldn't mind a boy. I have 2 girls now and a boy but before was looking for a girl to add to the family cause i like dressing them up, i love fashion but next i think i might get a boy to even it out. I love my boy Teddy, he has the best personality and he is 8 lbs, the perfect size. If i get a boy though i think i want it a little on the smaller size for other reasons.

| ![]() I thought you were saying what would you ever do if you had 5 girls.... and I was going to say... I would be so happy to have 5girls to place. I can be choosier w/ my girls. My boys I almost have to place w/ whoever wants them... and I don't want that! I have had one ... he was born in March... and I can't find anyone that wants him that I would let him go w/ because of his size... when they are bigger... I feel like I have to just let them go sometimes so I am not stuck w/ a bunch of boys... when EVERY SINGLE call if for girls... the boys are always bought when girls are gone or I lower the price way way down. |

| ![]() Mikayla and Brooklyn both mark too. Maddie and Sophie don't...they just squat. It does look hilarious watching a girl lift her leg and pee on something...lol |
