I think to be honest..I think it's because all of our lives, we've been told females are easier to housebreak(which I've found not to be necessarily true), boys mark(which I have found again not to be true..My mom took a little boy pup from me years ago, everyone told her what a mistake that was going to be, do you know out of all the dogs she's had in her life, he ended up being the sweetest, smartest, well behaved dog she had ever had..people had to eat their words..she had him house broke within 2 weeks after getting him, and until about a year before he died, he would never even think of peeing in her house..it's just when he got to be 14, he couldn't hold his bladder anymore, and you could tell it embarrassed him when she had to put his little pants on..she called his belly bands his pants, if she called them his diaper he wouldn't come over to her..I have the one dog(and as I stated, it was my hubby over me), I have never had an issue with Fritz on housebreaking or anything else, he's sweet/loveable, and less of a barker than my females..heck when I got Ginger, I was actually going to get her brother, until I got a boy and girl..I really wanted the little guy, my hubby is the one that wanted the girl, again, I think all the myths you hear about boys all your life, stays with you...?
