:hands: for a quick recovery on precious little Max.:hands: He sure is a cutie! Keep your head up hun and be sure to post some pics of Max as soon as he gets home. Of course after he gets smothered with love by Mom and his skin siblings!

I have read that steam cleaning the furniture & carpet can help kill any of the virus. You could do it yourself or hire it out.

Praying for Max to have a speedy recovery. I had a beagle 20 yrs. ago that lived through parvo it is about them getting dehydrated more so than the desease it's self. LYSOL kills 99.9% of germs & viruses in 30 seconds you could use that on your furniture & carpet. I would spray it good. Just hang in there it will all work out.

I am so sorry about your Max. We had a member on another forum have a puppy get Parvo from strange dogs pooping in her yard. Her Tucker was very ill, but he pulled through and is fine today. I hope Max's story has a happy ending, too.

Yes yes absolutely true!!! You did everything you possibly could have!!! I hope you didn't think my comment about how we need to be careful about our babies was meant to blame you! That's not what I meant at all!! I just wanted to point out that we all do need to be as careful as we possibly can, because they're so little and they can pick up anything!! Sorry if it sounded like that! You're doing a great job, and I know your little baby will pull through!! :D

You certainly did do everything absolutely right and what the vet said sounds really GOOD!! Just wait until you call and he says that you can take little Max home!! :)
Try to keep yourself busy so that the time passes as quckly as possible. My little one recently had a very bad virus and I was concefrned as to whether he would pull through too ..he did and seems to have no lasting side effects...Max will be the same, you just wait and see....and when he is, you will know it was due to you giving him the very best care!! ;) My little one is the same age as Max. Hugs.xxx

Thirty years ago I had a Toy Poodle and A Maltese with Parvo ...they lived to 17 and 18yrs.

Thank you so much everyone! I had bad dreams last night and woke up sad this morning. I had to remind myself that he will be back home with me, this isn't permanent! Normally the weekends go by to fast but this one will creep by.

KiKipie, I am in Raleigh, MS. It's in Smith County, about 35 miles east of Brandon on Hwy 18. (way out in the sticks) Where do you live?
