Prayers and thoughts for worried mommy and Max. I truly believe in the power of prayer; its completely good that your vet said you are in the early stage. Please think positive and be relieved you did catch it early. Prayers go up and blessing come down.

Thanks again everyone. I so appreciate the support.

Are puppies just not protected until they've received all 4 or 5 rounds of vaccinations? Max is current on his first two sets yet still contracted the virus. The vet also said since the virus suppresses the immune system a bit Max will have to wait a full 30 days before receiving his next set of vaccinations.

Moosie's mom,

My 2 year old has already asked me several times where Max is. He keeps looking around the house calling him and clicking his tongue. He definitely misses him!

I think its usually four rounds of vaccines and then there protected. However more than once I have heard of pups getting it even though they had all their vaccines. Puppies are the most suceptable. It is scary

I remember my vet telling us that Parvo can live in the ground for 13 years :eek:

Praying for a full and quick recovery. Don't worry about the hair, Cali had several incidents of Iv's and they shaved her front paws and it grows back so quickly.
