| OOh I love them and am trying to take in all of the puppy pictures to be able to determine HOW to determine if they will be darker. Some of the pups I can definately see a darker face on them but some of them look just like my guy did and he is really light ? hmmm... Off to find more :-) They are all so pretty I want to bring them all home Bonnie |

| just wanted to show you them side by side... Bailey (the light one) is going to probably look like your boy and Brooklyn (the darker one) will end up being darker.. I couldn't pick between them (i love the lighter and the darker), so I took both!

We have had 2 dark yorkies, both with very thick hair. Their hair has not only been soft as velvet, but also silky too. Easy to comb any tangles out, when we get them. I like to keep their hair on the longer side, since I believe one of the traits to celebrate about this breed is their beautiful hair. There is definitely a commitment to grooming when you sign on for a yorkie. Would not describe our dark yorkies hair as the least bit wooly. I have seen the textures of the hair go either way, lighter or darker. I never set out for darker yorkies, it just turned out that that is what we ended up with.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Here is my little Tatum. She is also dark. Her body is jet black right now, but her breeder told me that she should turn a dark steel blue like her daddy, but who knows what she will end up doing. My Stedman is steel blue, but not near as dark as Tatum will be, IF she changes. There are several pics to come...
