I swear I am not trying to be mean but love is not selfish. You have stated the breeder said she would give you your money back for Gracie, do the right thing for your first responsibility, Natalie. She did not ask for this and it breaks my heart that she may not get the proper care.

Again, what I paid for Gracie won't touch what Natalie's bills will be... and it certainly won't be the difference as to whether she sees a specialist or not.... you all have it in your minds that I paid the asking price of 1600.00 plus shipping for Gracie.... that simply wasn't the case...

I'm not going to touch on this further as it just isn't a relevant issue..... Sandy and I talked about this in detail and Gracie will be staying where she is....

Now... on to begging and borrowing! lol

There are some strange infections out there. It certainly could be one of those. But somehow, her heart 'looks' to me like she had a congenital problem...that's now affecting her other organs by failing. Perhaps producing fluid in her lungs...etc. The anti-biotics will prevent pneumonia, but they won't help that heart.
Maybe I missed this but, did she have a heart murmur?

Sorry, but looking at that little body brings thoughts that there's something not necessarily directly related behind all of this.

Blood panel? Anything abnormal? Platelets okay?

If the amount you spent on Gracie will make no difference to Natalie's treatment then unfortunately I'm very doubtful any donations from YT will help either. This is such a shame. I really hope you get this worked out.

Ok, well I have sat and read every sick, pathetic, judgmental post I can stomach. Bottom line is not once did OP ask for money from anyone, it was offered. Also, if you think it is a scam, simply do not donate! But the worse thing is you are taking the focus off what is most important....poor little Nat. Dena has already said she will do whatever is needed to take care of her and I for one believe her. What right to you people have to drag her through this when she is already dealing with so much worry?

Again, if you think it is a scam....DO NOT GIVE!!!! Simple as that, but let this tread get back to what it started out as....Natalie. And remember, there but for the grace of God......

Nope, she never had a murmur or other "sign".... on the results, would "Platelets" be "PLT"??

Something else I want you to ask when you go for her work-up. It's a couple of simple questions, but it often defines whether or not we should pull out all the stops in treatment.
Is whatever treatment offered going to change the outcome of her life? Is it extending it in a quality manner? How will xyz for treatment improve her life? Is xyz realistic for me to continue for an undetermined amount of time? How long will I allow her to be ill and undergoing xyz w/o improvement?

I've had two dogs in my life that I lost prematurely. I learned that my love, nor my money, would give them quality of life.

The fluid has collected because Natalie's heart is unable to pump it out.

Natalie will require the care of a cardiologist....
