| I am glad you said that about not cooking the beef bones, I have given mine cooked beef soup bones with no problems thank god.. I do try not to let them have anything that will break off and be small to choke them though. I never give greenies.. I am so glad your little one is ok though, that is scary when those times happen... pooh's mum |

| Yes, I was trying to take out the last piece (like 2 inches or so) from her mouth! She wouldn't give it up! I tossed it to the trash can and she was whinning next to the trash can for a while last night!! She even stood up next to the trash can and hoping to get it back!!!! LOL! |

| Thank heavens she got it up! Poor baby. I can only assume they can have something inside that does not belong there for a couple of days because last Christmans Buddy got a stuffed small spider from my son and DIL. Two days later he woke me up in the middle of the night gaging and chocking. I also paniced but when I turned on the light this black thing was on the floor all slimmy. It was gross! I picked it up, put my glasses on and finally realized it was a leg off the spider which I threw out when everyone left. I did not want to hurt my son's feelings because he can't have anything like that for this obvious reason. He chews up everything. That was inside him for two days and he had no trouble eating or anything. Thank heavens it came up and surgery was not needed. |

| I know they are gross, but I think the ones that are actually made from a penis are safest. They get mushy and I have never had a piece come off. They are very dense and sort of melt away instead of breaking apart.

| I'm glad she is alright now. Yes. Everyone needs to take them away when they get short. This applies to anything they chew on IMO. Take care!

| That is very scary! I glad to hear she is alright though. We had the same scare with Toby too with the Merrick Flossies. He was choking on the last little piece of one and luckily my bf realized what was happening and was able to get the piece out. Toby loves them so much though so what I do is throw them away when he gets them down to a little less than halfway gone. It gets to be expensive because we have to buy more now but way worth. Having seen him choke on it was way too frightening.

| Ok, I am so so so upset at myself now!!!!!! So, I gave Chloe another flossies tonight and watched her eat the whole time. So, until it got to about the length I wanna toss..I put my finger inside her mouth and tried to get it out and I couldn't. So, I asked my bf to get it out....but Chloe was sooo smart...she knew what I was trying to do....(since I already tried to pull it out once tonight) so, she swallowed it!!!!! OMG! I can't believe this! I am so worry now..I worry it might happen again...Arghh..! And serious! I am so upset at myself and wanna cry!!! ARGHH! |

is this normal for other yorkies? i know morgan takes forever to eat one. back to the point, if you have to reach inside her mouth to try and get it back then you are still leaving it with her for too long. you need to visibly still be able to see it before you take it away. if you can't see it then it is already too short. i hope she pukes it up.
