| I think spoiling your pup with lots of love and attention is priceless!!! The clothing and accessories are extra... I for one, dont buy a lot of expensive things for my pup... I too make things for Meka (cause I like to) and buy resonabley priced items. As you did with your pup, maybe if you have your eye on something special, you can try saving til' you have enough to get that special item....

| I don't have much money to spend on my furkid too and what I have I prioritize it on the important things like good food and medical for him. I bought 2 dog blankets from the dollarstore for $1 each and I am thinking to buy one more to make a pajama/hoodie out of it for him. As we are living in the basement for a year, I need more warmer clothes for him. I made him his bed out of fleece that were on sale from the fabric store with some polyfill from old pillows. I actually made the bed a little too big and it could easily fit 2 yorkies. Treats are way cheaper if you make them yourself too.

| Thank you so much everyone for your comments. I have sewn most of my life, and do all crafts, and wood work and crochet. When you don't have much money you really need to learn to do some things. I hope we can share ideas. Anything you need to know just ask me Kathy |

| I make a lot of my furkids clothes, and I am guilty of buying expensive things.. but I don't have the money right now, so I'm not shopping .I find that whenever I buy them a pricey bed, they just want to sleep on a pile of clothes, the floor, or an old blankie so I've just started buying fleee on sale and making beds, cuddle cups, and blankies for them instead of buying the cute ones I used to ![]() The most important thing is all the love you give your babies, and their special handmade by you items are so cool and special. Way more special than a mass produced item . |

| You are great with your sewing, ever thought of doing it professionally. I really would love to make a lot of Rockies things. You have great talent. You can find a discount material outlet and go from there. |

I know what you mean. We are both full time college students, and he plays football so he can't work. Believe me, our kiddos are spoiled rotten, and they know it. I usually just buy premie size clothes at walmart, way cheaper than their dog clothes. Plus I can personalized it with the tshirt press thing at my mom and dad's school they work at. Or just iron things on them myself.

| I think you deserve kudos here... I'm glad that your doggy has found a loving home, and I'm glad that you're trying to use your money wisely. It's expensive to buy Yorkie stuff! You can make your own blankets with fleece, shirts using patterns from small dolls (with some modifications!) or doggy patterns (Joann fabrics has sales on patterns quite often). Good luck!

| Loki's favorite bed is a $12 floor pillow from BB&B that we covered with bone fabric. We've also made 2 sets of doggie steps for $15. On the other hand, I've tried to make clothes and I fail miserably and waste fabric. I did manage to make Sammy a really cute fabric sling bag, but I think I spent $50 on fabric and supplies by the time I was done. The problem is that I don't have snaps and buttons and all that stuff because I'm not a big sewer. Every time I sew I have to buy a new spool of thread, velcro or whatever... By the time I'm done I might as well buy a $20 shirt. So, I stopped buying $4 pet edge shirts that fell apart and started buying high quality stuff that lasts forever. They just don't have a whole bunch of stuff. The one thing that *I* really want, is one of those big nice $200 dog beds. I talk myself out of it every time, because they sleep IN MY BED. Why do they need a $200 dog bed? They don't. Not in this house, which is small enough that they can just sleep on a couch or our bed!
